Was a bit of an interesting deal. Appeared to me that it was insurance for the 2026 class as Texas continued to pursue Prothro, Bowman, Kent, etc.

Texas is in no rush to just take a tight end in 2026 cycle. After Townsend and Winston in 2025, the room is healthy for the future.

It sounds like he wasn’t “approved” to commit yet, which means that Sark is playing wait and see. Clearly the coaches are in no rush here and if they decide to give him another look, they can always push hard in a few months.

Sad for the kid. Not getting a formal offer when you want one is hard. Hopefully Sark didn’t string him along, but it sounds like he was honest and told the player that Texas isn’t taking him. I hope he finds a good spot and thrives.

She's just not that into you.

Weird post to make publicly, but okay. Onward.

Agree.   Bizarre post:   Think this is code for… other teams weren’t pursuing him hard either and this is his way of trying to generate some buzz on others’ radar as a Texas ‘commit’ who’s decided to ‘soft decommit’…..Is that a thing if Sark never accepted your commitment? lol. 😳😂
