Bobby Burton Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Our friend Brooks Austin, aka The Film Guy, has a nice breakdown here on how he thinks Texas will defend Buckeye receiver Jeremiah Smith. I texted with Brooks this morning. He’s got this matchup circled in part because of how well Texas defended Smith in January. 6 Quote
HookEmLonghorns Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I love watching his film studies. Thanks for sharing! 2 Quote
Hookem1012 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wherever he goes, Manny goes. With help over the top. Let’s see if Smith has learned how to play against doubles and zones, since he “struggled” against them last year. What our guys did against him in the cotton bowl is exactly what we should do again. 1 Quote
Jonas Peterson Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He dropped one on CJ Baxter yesterday as well. 3 Quote
Jet Jones Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I really enjoy watching The Film Guy's stuff. Brooks really knows football and is fair when assessing players and breaking down film. OTF, The Film Guy, and That SEC Podcast are my daily go-to for college football content. 1 Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Smith is not a polished wideout. He really doesn't run routes. He runs drags and gos. He's not a reciever you want to play trail technique or really try to jump with him. You don't play Smith you play the ball and limit his yard after catch. Otherwise you're just gonna get head tapped on ran away from. Play disciplined in your technique and coverage and you're good. Quote
