Florida? Really?

Do we really know what Florida is or isn't on the line of scrimmage? I love the sophomore running back he was a load last year. Dike one of the recievers from last year is on a NFL roster and has been solid in his reps. Where I disagree is that Lagway is a good qb, I haven't seen it is the reason. He may end up being really good, but I'm not going to credit that to him just yet. He throws the deep ball really well, but timing and touch isn't a strength foe him as of yet. So for me, I'm not looking at what he could or should be, bc he may never reach that. All I have is what he's shown.

Florida looked much better at home against *checks notes* Long Island than we did on the road against Ohio State, you see.  😉

I think Florida would have been better off this year if they didn’t get all those upsets towards the end of the year. That just gave those teams more reason to want to beat them 😂

That’s a big if about them coming into our game undefeated. They have the hardest schedule in the country until then. It’s not certain that they will come out of next weekend undefeated, much less be undefeated in October. 
 

And if they are undefeated when we play them, they will probably have used up a lot of energy and possibly depth in hard fought games and be due for a loss.

LSU harassed Cade all night, Miami don't have world beaters but they're good enough, Lagway may not even make it to Texas.

Gotta at least split the Miami and LSU games, then pull an upset over Texas or Aggy and run the table from there to have a shot.  Won't happen because they won't beat Georgia and Mississippi is probably a loss too so 8-4 at best.  That's only if Lagway stays healthy.

If you're speaking from a Texas POV, I'd say you're going to find out a lot these next three weeks. Sark is going or will want to get Arch good looks of route concepts against live and different coverages. Who and what concepts Arch looks and feels most comfortable throwing will tell who is scoring the TDs.

I am right there with you on florida. Sunbelt Billy will find a way to go 9-4 at best with them.

So we should be worried about Florida because they have talented starters but so do we....I understand being "worried" about them but your team now has experience in a hostile environment against great competition.

I think the boys will be fine, as long as they execute and be more disciplined. Plus if Ohio State was meant to have this great OL, are we saying Florida has a better one? They have better WR's? They might have a better RB, I'll give them that. Do they have superior LB's and DB's?

I'm all for respecting an opponent but this team has already been through a tough road game against a great opponent. If they get rattled on the road against Florida, then they don't deserve to be in the SEC title game or in the playoffs.

Was not the G-C-G not a strength and not able to get push? Didn't the lack of depth for OSU show up? How many rushing yards did Texas have. Most of my statements were predicted on Arch playing decently, which he didn't until the fourth quarter. Where did Downs in this game look light years ahead of Taafe? What coverage did OSU play? Inverted Tampa 2. I talked about Arch stepping up in the pocket, did you not see that 3 times this game? Didn't Sark tailor the game to what Arch does well? His best passes wasn't the quick game its the deeper stuff and thats the best passes Arch threw all game. While you're getting screenshots go back and find where I was asking about Arch in the quick game and intermediate throws. To say nothing I said happened is crazy.

Basically the same for Arch then. Although I guess DJ has played a little more. 
 

For the OL/DL I’m just going off of what experts thought and where they were rated. They were both top 10 in the country pre season. Couldn’t tell anything really with their first game.

When it comes to lines of scrimmage I read the reports and try to make my best assessment. I knew Texas would be better people movers than last year because of the size. I watched our transfer defensive tackles and the flashes January had last year and expected him to improve from there. Many of the experts had worries about our interior, but there's a post somewhere that I said we insert new guys every year since Couburn and Ojomo and get better every year somehow. I didn't learn anything from watching Florida last weekend and definitely didn't see anything concerning outside of their sophomore running back. He's what I expected Baxter to be.

That's what Baxter would've been if not for his injury last year. The fact he even played against Ohio State is a damn miracle lol.
