Is USC a threat this year or it's pretty much Texas vs. Stanford barring some unforeseen situation.  Last year I believe USC ended up 2nd?

I really don't get it.  It seems like we focus on the sprint events regardless.  The Indoor Championships were last week. Texas finished:

Mens: 12 points, 24th place. Outscored by NAU (7th), Villanova (14th), New Mexico (19th)
Womens: 8 points, tied for 28th place. Outscored by New Mexico (10th), South Dakota (15th), Tarleton State (23rd), Princeton (27)

I realize that some of these athletes are at specific schools because of the coach that is in place for their event - but some of these kids were just underrecruited, too.  Not sure why Texas can't just NIL top performing kids from small schools to earn some extra points considering that T&F field events have a way disproportionate value because of the multiple championships.

Below is a list of frosh/sophomore student athletes from smaller schools that it seems like we could recruit to join our teams in non-sprint events. I'm just a fat guy with a spreadsheet, this can't be that complicated lol

Scholarship numbers were pretty limited and split between CC and T&F. But not anymore. Can Texas take advantage of that?

Will keep a close watch but I don’t think so. Their track and field teams carried a lot of weight for them last year, they are not strong this year.

I updated the projected finish this week, after being on Coffee and Football. Texas improved in Beach Volleyball significant and Stanford fell in W Lax. The margin increased quite a bit.

Pretty sure this is the outdoor SEC season title.  Horns beat Florida to win the regular season.  Played outdoors, but had to move doubles indoors due to inclement weather.  The SEC tournament starts on April 15th.

The indoor championship was back in February.  That one does not count.

The points are decided by finishing position in NCAA tennis tournament is my understanding.

Yes, conference level results do not impact the directors cup. Only NCAA championship competition.

Yep, directors cup and all sec trophy but will likely lose lone Star showdown. 
 

A&M winning sports that both teams are bad at - w soccer, M&W cross country - give points for lone star showdown but don’t impact directors cup that much. The teams split volleyball matchups but A&M won the regular season which is the one that counts for lone star showdown. Both had good directors cup points in volleyball.

The regular season tennis championship does count for SEC All Sport Trophy. Texas moved into the lead.

Looking at Texas vs Georgia baseball, do both regular season and tournaments count - and only by being #1?  Same for softball, can we add buffer vs Georgia jyst by finishing higher in standings or do we need a regular season or tourney championship?
