TTown Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Any body that can't see Stroh isn't ready tells you all you need to know about their football knowledge or lack thereof. Nice kid but not a P4 starter anywhere on a contender or even an average team. Neto may or may not be the answer , but this is on Flood and all the powers that be. Not to bring in portal OL is criminal and it is showing period. 4 Quote

Apparently the kid that was at Texas is the #1 pass blocking Guard in the country. At least as of right now. 1 Quote

Seems odd that he was the #1 pass blocking G when the whole OL wasn't that great, but that's good for Campbell. I shudder to think what any of their run blocking #'s looked like though lol. Quote

Oh right sorry, I misunderstood what you said. Where did Parr end up anyway? I completely forgot about him. Edited 3 hours ago by AusMOJO Quote

He’s at SMU. Now a 3 year starter. I don’t know but pure speculation on my part is that he was not a Flood recruit so expendable. Different situations for sure, but he’s probably had a better career than Hutson. Quote
awashbump Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just watch the latest IT video where they review the all-22. This line is absolutely abysmal. Weak, bad technique, undisciplined. Kyle Flood absolutely has to go after this season 1 Quote

I’ve wrestled with this. I wonder if it’s similar to the Akina / Manny issues in the recent pass. Philosophical clashes. I think he clearly has value but I wonder how he identifies and addresses blind spots. As a leader, I always try to hire those that think differently, better, etc. so long as we are grounded on the outcome(once decided, simply can’t have folks rowing in multiple directions that’s why it’s crucial to involve them in the decision process). It’s a simple concept but not always easy to execute. Does he need a specific specialist for developing large humans? Do they test/contrast weight room strength against playing strength, etc. I’m not a baby bath water guy. Hell, even for Flood, if his concepts are still fresh and effective, maybe he needs someone that teaches better. Teaching and transferring skills are far less common strengths for people in general. It’s way beyond parroting and repetition. Though, for what he’s paid, he probably should be able to do both? 🤷🏽♂️ Quote
