Rocky P Posted yesterday at 08:40 PM Posted yesterday at 08:40 PM Indiana dipped into that basketball bag to give that contract. 1 Quote
LonghornFan4Ever Posted yesterday at 08:44 PM Posted yesterday at 08:44 PM IU knows they have their football version of Bobby Knight and didn't want him to get away. Good move for them, especially if their high school recruiting starts to catch up to their transfer portal recruiting. 1 Quote
HookemTexas Posted yesterday at 08:55 PM Posted yesterday at 08:55 PM Yep, smart on their part making sure he doesn't think about Penn St. or Florida, or any of the other jobs open or about to open up. Quote
HookemTexas Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM Posted yesterday at 08:57 PM So how long until ATM give Elko a 10 year fully guaranteed contract because they are currently ranked in the top 5 with a bunch of jobs open? I said in another thread that there are few jobs better than the Notre Dame job, can't say the same for the ATM job. Bias aside, there's a number of blue blood jobs that would be a step up, although Penn St. and Florida would be a bit of a lateral jump imo. A USC or Michigan on the other hand . . . 4 Quote

Take off the brunt orange glasses. A$M has a great recruiting base and unlimited funding for football, however Aggies will screw up the perfect season because they are dumb Aggies 2 Quote
Roysterr Posted yesterday at 09:43 PM Posted yesterday at 09:43 PM Aggies will win one of the road games between LSU & Missouri. It's up to Texas to give them there 2nd conference loss. 2 Quote

tsip92 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago And this is why the House settlement is never going to survive. $20m spread over 105 players while the HC alone gets $11m. It boggles the mind how the NCAA and the schools think that this is remotely fair to the players. 2 Quote
alrightalrightalright Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Cant wait for the first hire to be made in this cycle. It’s going to be wild Quote
Bobbers Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I saw an Elko to Penn St rumor. It made me smile. 1 Quote
AusMOJO Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Dude's going to be, what? 72/73 by the time t hat deal expires. Good on him. I wouldn't want to jump into the Penn State mess either. Quote

The HC's get paid this much because they have much more responsibility than the actual players. The players are getting more than enough, plus all the stuff that doesn't directly go to them that they benefit from. Quote
