Sark to NFL Smoke…

First off I love Coach Sark. I dont think he is perfect but who is? I think offseason adjustments are needed but that’s every year. While not trying to be an alarmist about Sark leaving….First the Diana Rousini report. Now des howard talking about Sark being gone. Have heard many shows hinting…I know a lot of people want to think Diana is a “click bait” reporter, but she is not and even @Gerry Hamilton confirmed what she said was true. Des is Des, but he is not only one saying all of this. 

There is a lot of smoke here. Something to monitor. Would love for it to be untrue but with no focus on 2027 class, idk what to think.

I love Sark and want him as the leader of our program and still support him even despite this year not being ideal. However with all the smoke that's been coming out recently you have to think there's something of substance in the back that's brewing and bound to come out. Either way i just want the best for the football team and if we do have to get a new coach next year i hope our admins are ready and not caught with their pants down

This is how I feel as well. I do think all the smoke sucks. I really want it to all be untrue. Love Sark.

I'm in a weird place mentally with Sark. I think Sark is a good coach, a great offensive mind, a fantastic recruiter, and that what he's done for this program over the last five years has been incredible overall despite a few bumps along the way (particularly this year). If he leaves, we face a real risk of backsliding, massive roster attrition, etc.

That said, part of me does wonder who we could land if he did leave while the roster is still loaded and the athletic department as a whole is in great shape, and whether that coach might not be better long term.

I'm kind of okay with either path at this point, I guess.

He’s regurgitating or creating rumors with a national microphone and platform. Only someone with an axe to grind would not see the distinct difference.

The problem with all of this smoke is that other programs will use this against Texas in recruiting battles at the worst possible time.
