Thought the clip of Desmond Howard was almost too apropo when he starts it off by saying he is "taking out the trash".  That is EXACTLY what he was doing - sharing unsubstantiated trash just to get clicks.  Pretty pathetic.  I hope he gets roasted on this for years to come.

Look rumours like this are always going to come up, it's the nature of clickbait media to do so. But there has been talk about him wanting to go to the NFL but I don't think he's ready for it yet and I also don't think he wants to leave without getting over the hump.

Then again, what the hell do I know? LOL.

The talk around Sark has picked up a lot.
You follow that with numerous performances where multiple parts of the team don't look as engaged or invested in the game...
Doesn't look good imo. That doesn't mean he's leaving but something is going on.

This team does not look like a team that is 100% invested.
Whether it's the kids not being invested due to the NIL or something else, I think all of it falls on the coaches.

Also didn't like Sark's answers one bit in yesterday's press conference.
Talking about the problem with penalties being that "They get called for penalties" and brushing off not meeting expectations doesn't sound good to me.
It sounds like he's got other things going through his mind rather than correcting all the glaring issues of the team.
Even last week he was asked how did they fix the problem in the secondary and his response was "We fixed them".

Every question about how the coaches are handling/fixing the team irritates him, like he doesn't want to be questioned at all.
Put a decent product on the field and you're not going to be questioned.

I will say this though, if Sark does leave, for whatever reason, I have faith in CDC and the guys at Texas to do a great job in replacing him. I'm sure he has a short list already, for a break in case of emergency.

While I don't think he's going anywhere, there is definitely some smoke around it. With the poor play on the field, combined with rumours, it's always going to cause issues.

I don't know, I just want them to finish off the season with 2 wins but who knows what team is going to show up.

I trust Eltife to lead the charge. I do not trust CDC. Apparently he wanted to hire Dykes before Sark. If that is true I have zero confidence in CDC..

This makes no sense to me. How are you going to give an ultimatum to a guy who has all the leverage? This would be like Texas telling Sark make a decision on the NFL or else.

or else what? Lol

It makes a lot of sense. There is some clarity to the portal window now and it's in January. You want this done early because it gives the AD a better chance of 1) making a hire before the portal, and 2) keeping as much of the team together as possible after the 30 day window. Ole Miss can't hurt themselves for a coach who can't decide if he wants to leave.

There is probably a tt cap with your name on it.

These rumors aren’t helpful. Definitely something other programs are using against us in recruiting which could be why 2027 is so bleak right now.

Massive amount of smoke around this. I’d hate to see Sark go, personally. And I honestly feel bad for him being surrounded by people that make his life harder than it should be. Dude has been through a lot and deserves a clear mind. He’s not getting that from his “supporting cast.”

It’ll be Marcus Freeman.

I have thought this too. Freeman to X school rumors were shot down way to fast for me. It slightly feels he's on retainer for the Texas job if it comes open.

Probably wishful fan thinking if we lose our coach who took us to 2 playoff appearances b2b.

That’s understandable on their end but what are they going to do if he hasn’t made a final decision by then? An ultimatum implies there will be consequences or action taken otherwise. From Kiffin’s point of view I can see him genuinely not wanting to give the situation any attention til after the season since his team is a title contender right now.
I don’t think the portal window is fair for teams who make deep playoff runs for this reason. Texas suffered from that last year.

And to be clear no one is running him out of town. Everyone wants this to work. Just keep your heads on a swivel. We have 2 games to play, winning takes care of everything.

If Sark left for the NFL, I'd pay to see the A&M fanbase reaction if we hired Mike Elko as coach right after he barely loses to Ohio State in the National Championship game.

Negotiations outside of a College Station cemetery?

If Sark stays, changes need to be made and we need to win. What Kirby did was trash/cheap BUT I wish our coach had some of that in him . Sark doesn’t have that “grit, grind, and punish” and doesn’t go for the jugular against anybody. I think you have to have some of that to survive in the SEC.

If Sark leaves, we need to make the right decision and not go backwards.

If Dez had any journalistic integrity, he would have cited a source even if the source wished to remain anonymous. “A GM who wishes to remain anonymous said…” He’s just acting like a kid in junior high who has some juicy gossip, even if that gossip is entirely false.

He isn't a journalist, he is a dumb jock posing as a talking head. When was the last time he made a point that was logical? He is a puppet and reads what someone else puts in front of him. I'm gonna quote John Kennedy, "he isn't the dumbest person in the world but he is hoping the dumbest person in the world doesn't die"
