It’s like people don’t think that Sark and Arch dont review all these misses in film review and stop the film to point out this misread or check down that was open. The film being stopped to point out things is literally the same thing as a screenshot. FWIW on the throw into double coverage with the curl open and the check down open as well Arch stared Wingo down the whole time. A couple of these were chosen because it shows he had the time to get the ball out but the result was a sack.

Talent level of skill guys doesn’t have much bearing on a QB making the right decision on a read or knowing where mismatches are pre snap. Arch could have all those same guys but it wouldn’t matter because he’s not seeing the field well and not making the right reads while forcing passes deep. Sure it makes it a little easier for deep ball but when that’s covered and he throws into double coverage instead of Ruggs underneath wide open or Najee on a check down it doesn’t matter.

Practicing soft and not being physical in practice directly translates to games. The old saying “you play how you practice” rings true no matter the era. You are quite literally seeing it this year and this has nothing to do with experience of players. These are young guys straight out of HS. These are not NFL players. There is no proof of concept for Sarks line of thinking but there is tons of proof of concept for the other.

Who cares about if they’re maxed out before nfl? They were drafted high and results in college were championships. I’ve said repeatedly that it’s not a s&C issue because you haven’t seen it on defense until the Florida game. Which further points to this change. And I’ve also said repeatedly that it’s specific to one side of the ball over the years being less physical. But to think that this philosophical change to practice has no effect is hilarious.

Cherry picking? I'm providing a list of the top 100 players according to PFF last year, that isn't cherry picking. That is providing detailed data that shows their rankings highly correlate to success and future NFL potential. Conversely for this year Connor Stroh is ranked in the bottom of PFF starting p4 linemen and that correlates to what we've seen on the field. So laugh at PFF if you want but it gives you a baseline of grades to see if the film matches what the grade is, sure it may not be perfect but most of the time the film definitely matches the grade.
