    They played just as many 300+ NET opponents as Texas (6) and played 11 Q3 or Q4 opponents, while Texas only played 9. I'll acknowledge their top-end non-con (Louisville, Michigan, Arizona) was better than ours (Ohio State, UConn, Saint Joe's), but their non-con ain't THAT much better. KenPom has it 320th nationally. I agree they are likely in, but it's been weird to see all these Bracket guys pencil in a team with the same conference record as us and a lower NET as a "lock".

    Pierce was largely let go because of multiple off-field issues/incidents, including several at the end of his tenure that put the nail in the coffin. I don’t think it’s an apples to apples comparison. If Terry is fired, it won’t be because of that. Pierce also had results on the field that far exceed what Terry has done that could have bought him more time if it wasn’t for the other issues.

    Saint Joseph’s beating Tech in Brooklyn was funny at the time but for our overall resume it would have probably been better for us to play Tech in that championship game.

    OU is about to be the first 6 conference win team to ever make the tournament in recent history. The bubble is disgustingly bad and if you have a pulse you are basically in the field of 68.

    One of my favorite Texas basketball traditions is when we try to say a guy who is a first round needs to come back to school. Happens with every one and done we’ve ever had. I’m sure there were people back in the day who said KD needed a sophomore season to “work on his strength!” or something stupid.

    I'm not sure how 4-12 OU has a 38% chance to make the tournament. 6-12 is not getting you in.

    I don’t know what goes into ESPN analytics but I would put Texas’ chances closer to 50% than 30%. It feels like we say this every year but this is one of the weakest bubbles in recent memory. I’ve love to see the resumes other bubble teams are boasting that make ESPN think they have that much better of a chance than Texas.

    It’s college baseball, you should always worry about the bullpen after the top 2-3 guys. It’s that way for almost every team.

    Texas isn’t playing in the NIT. I’m surprised that tournament still exists. Almost all the teams invited usually decline so they can just get started with the portal and offseason.

    Yes, me, the guy who has said for 2 months Rodney Terry isn't coming back, "defending" him. I am defending the idiotic idea that he would be fired 2 weeks before the season ends.

    I know your entire fandom is built around bad takes and kneejerk reactions, but CDC is actually going to wait 2 weeks for the season to end like a normal person because contrary to what you believe there is very little accomplished from pulling the plug 14 days before the season ends for a team that may or may not be playing in the postseason.

    For a fanbase and program that needs to be re-energized, an almost 60-year-old Quin Snyder, who hasn't coached in college since 2006, probably isn't moving the needle.

    I hope they have a plan for the recruiting side as I can’t imagine Akina will be doing much heavy lifting on the trail. Nice to have him back but definitely goes against the grain on some previous hires that have been made.

    Sark’s past never involved legal trouble or a mugshot. The bar for being a head coach at Texas is to not put yourself in a position where you could possibly be arrested the morning of a game. Is that asking for too much? Congrats to him that the fiancé didn’t want to cooperate which forced the charges to be dropped.

    Will Wade and Chris Jans would be no-brainers in my mind, but both carry baggage that make me doubt if they would ever be considered here.

    Nothing fires me up more than a college assistant with no head coaching experience whose reputation is built largely off recruiting. Maybe it works out for Miami but that job must not be super desirable less than 2 years removed from a final four if that is who they are picking.
