    Some of y’all need to learn there is a long runway between making contact with a kid and actually pushing for them. Texas probably contacts 150 kids a cycle.

    There were some big misses. I remember a lot of people being excited about the DL class of Ross/Bledsoe/Bryant/Swanson. The defensive class in general was pretty much a total bust outside of Ethan Burke and Guilbeau.

    You’ve now stated this on multiple boards in the Texas market. Not a great way to make friends. Let people do their jobs. You are the only who thinks paid employees of these sites are just purposely withholding information from you for the fun of it.

    I get what you are trying to say but Texas is spending $30+ million on their roster this year. People trying to question if they are “willing to play ball” is tiring. You can’t say you understand not wanting to overpay then turnaround and say but I kind of want them to overpay.

    If this were true, we wouldn't be in the current situation we are in. We are going to be fine, but this is 2025. We need to stop pretending like "winning" and "positions looking good on the field" is going to magically fill recruiting needs. If that were the case, A&M would sign classes ranked in the 20s every year.

    It's like praising Kenny Baker as the reason Justus Terry chose Texas. It's okay to acknowledge outside influence$ impact recruitments more than ever before, both for and against Texas.

    I don't think it's the worst cycle to only take 1, I think you make a good point there. But it's a pretty good RB year in the state, and we should have been able to throw a stone out the window and hit one. Not too worried about it, just will require some extra work.

    This is what our class looked like at this time last year: KJ Lacey Lance Jackson Elijah Barnes James Simon Coleman triplets Emaree Winston End of list. Not sure how you can say they are slow playing guys when they sit with 2x the commitments they had at this time a year ago.

    DT Caleb Banks at Florida OT Kadyn Proctor at Bama S KJ Bolden at Georgia

    All 3 of these guys have more proven track records than Winfield did, who hit .276 at ULM in Sun Belt play in the same league Freeman just hit .345 in.

    Women’s Soccer continues to be the most underperforming sport on campus compared to where we should be. At least in mind.

    Auburn allocated a larger chunk of revenue share money to baseball than most SEC schools. Same with South Carolina. Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas have been leading the NIL arms race for a while. That isn’t new.

    These non-football sports don't have the money fairies some people think they do. Pierce wasn't the best at generating excitement or NIL funds, but it wasn't like there were a bunch of "baseball boosters" waiting on their yachts for a call. I think that NIL is in a better place than a year or two ago, but we aren't that far removed from losing portal prospects to Oklahoma State in baseball over money. The house settlement adds another layer to everything, as certain schools are carving out larger chunks of the $20.5 million for baseball than Texas is. So any dollar that doesn't come from the house settlement has to be made up for in outside NIL. But you are absolutely right. Let it play out.

    Ford will end up signing in the draft. Top 75 overall prospect. Becker will be at Mississippi State most likely. Teel is also a major draft risk. Top 150 type prospect.

    This is a hilarious way to look at it when you consider all the sports. Why didn’t basketball not making a 64 team tournament field cost us the directors cup? Or Volleyball losing in the sweet 16? Or Women’s soccer winning the SEC championship then not making it out of the second round?

    Buddy they led the SEC in ERA despite losing their Friday night starter halfway through conference play. This is an insane argument.
