  1. 8-4 might be tough for aggy this season.
  2. An offense like Texas State is like facing the triple option. You get through it, and move on. Though I think Tennessee runs a version of it, but not to the extremes that Texas State does.
  3. At least I am not illiterate.
  4. How can you misspell Seymore's name when it is listed on the depth chart?
  5. Lane really going to get LSU kicked out of the SEC.
  6. Same play call as last year against Ohio State, except Arch doesn't throw a carpet missle and it becomes an explosive play to either Coleman or Wingo.
  7. Given Sarkisian's stance, if the SEC said no to Hutson, Texas would have removed him from the roster already. He never entered the draft as an underclassmen, signed a NFL contract, or competing on a NFL roster. He also, never left school and isn't transfering from another conference school.
  8. For me, this season is about penalties. Sarkisian's teams have gotten worse every year, that needs to change to make a run into and through the CFPs. I think going from #132 down into the top 50s would mean Texas is handling the flags giving their uber-talented squad more chances to make game-changing plays and burying teams.
  9. From the ESPN article, this was one of his simulations. This is laughably bad. SEC standings Missouri 8-1 (11-1) South Carolina 8-1 (11-1) Georgia 6-3 (9-3) Tennessee 6-3 (9-3) Ole Miss 6-3 (9-3) Oklahoma 6-3 (8-4) LSU 5-4 (8-4) Auburn 5-4 (8-4) Texas 5-4 (7-5) Vanderbilt 5-4 (6-6) Alabama 4-5 (7-5) Texas A&M 3-6 (6-6) Kentucky 3-6 (5-7) Florida 2-7 (4-8) Mississippi State 1-8 (3-9) Arkansas 0-9 (2-10)
  10. Over the course of the summer, I worked with ChatGPT to create a ranking engine based on four core principles. 1. Reume - Overall body of work in the context of schedule difficulty; Who did you play, and what did you accomplish against them? 2. Quality Wins - The valie of a team's strongest victories; How strong are the teams you defeated? 3. Dominance - How convincingly a team performs relative to opponent quality; How well did you perform, not simply how much did you win by? 4. Consistency - The stability and repatability of performance; Does the team consistently perform at a high level? Now this isn't meant to predict future performance, it's meant to judge all teams equally against how they actually played. I try to minimize subjective influence, such as, preseason polls, recruiting rankings, brand recognition, historical prestige, media expectations, or perceived talent. Here are the Top 25's from the past 5 seasons. Yes, I am a nerd.
  11. Both teams struggling with the penalties. The Harvard QB is looking like the speed of the game is too much for him right now. If the Carolina QB settles in, UNC will likely win this game. They are both 8-4 type teams, but I am a big believer in Petrino's offensive schemes and play calling.
  12. I saw on X today that a $10 bet (HR in 1st 3 ABs) would have netted over $7M in payouts.
  13. If the rumors are true, then Sarkisian is likely the best coach Smith can have right now. Everyone should be smart enough to figure it out from there, but this isn't a Jollyful situation for sure.
  14. Hoover is a really bad QB. Indiana is going to be wondering why they just didn't keep Mendoza's little bro instead, or you know, develop one in house.
  15. It has nothing to with their salaries. It had to do with 4 coaches that expect to have their bloated NIL agreements honored and not having the money to do it. They believed that 1 and likely 2 of those coaches weren't going to be fully funded and they were guessing it would be the basketball coaches.
  16. I was listening to College Sports on XM 2-3 months ago and they made the point it was going to be impossible to placate all four of these coaches NIL needs.
  17. Looked to be a sizable crowd in attendence. I approve of the all 3's made, dunks, and layups offense.
  18. Yeah, his most important season in the pro football career and you come to camp looking like you ate Blue Bell all off-season.
  19. Prayers for the life long Longhorn.
