  1. The Coaches Poll is pretty irrelevant in college baseball, but the Longhorns remain No. 4 there, too:
  2. Texas is still No. 3 in the Baseball America Top 25:
  3. The Longhorns remain No. 4 in the D1Baseball.com Top 25. Texas has series wins over five of the teams in this week's poll (Auburn, Mississippi State, Alabama, Ole Miss and OU, with a victory over Coastal Carolina in Houston.
  4. I don't think is that much of a surprise. Still, it should be a pretty good season for the Southwest Conference.
  5. I didn't want to make a new thread, but I found these Swain numbers interesting:
  6. I'd probably put Texas and Oregon ahead of Indiana. If Michigan is going to be dinged for the Sherrone Moore years, IU going 3-9 in 2023 and getting blown out by anyone with a pulse in 2024 must be considered.
  7. I'd have Texas ahead of Miami for sure, probably Notre Dame and probably Oregon. I think anywhere from No. 3-No. 6 is a fair ranking for the Longhorns.
  8. He makes a very strong case. The staff expected him to contribute, but I don't think they expected Pack to thrive like he has throughout SEC play.
  9. It's the second weekly honor for Volantis this season. He's also one of five Longhorns to win an SEC weekly award this season, joining Temo Becerra (March 3), Sam Cozart (March 9 and April 20), Ruger Riojas (March 30) and Anthony Pack Jr. (April 6).
  10. Robbins secures the catch in right to end the game and the series in favor of the Longhorns!
  11. A great catch by Monsour and a liner to short have Texas one out from the win and the series victory.
  12. Borba strikes out to end the inning. Everything has been an adventure today. I'd expect the final three outs to be no different.
  13. Not sure why the double steal was on right there. Mendoza was thrown out by a mile at third for the second out of the inning.
  14. Another Bulldog pitching change after walks drawn by Mendoza and Rodriguez and Beccera's flyout to left. Parker Rhodes is the eighth pitcher Mississippi State has used today.
  15. Nice pick by Borba to finish off a 6-3 groundout to get out of the inning.
  16. Cozart hits Wyers. It's first and third with two outs and the top of the order is up for the Bulldogs.
  17. A much-needed 6-4-3 double play gets two quick outs. A runner on third with two outs after Rodriguez and Mendoza turn a double play.
  18. Two walks to open the inning for Cozart. Weiner out to the mound.
