  1. Mike McDaniel might be available soon.
  2. I have a feeling this will be her last season in Austin. Texas can upgrade there for sure. CDC is not shy about making a move.
  3. Texas 34 SHSU 6
  4. Some of those players look appealing, but I would think Texas wants experienced guys in the portal if they go that route. No disrespect to Wilson, Mbatchou, etc., but have they played any meaningful snaps at UF yet? Baugh would be a great get at RB for sure.
  5. If it’s a coach from their defensive staff, I would be much more excited. Stopping UF’s offense won’t be a problem regardless of who’s on their offensive staff.
  6. Btw, Alex Mirabal might be the best OL coach in college football.
  7. Double post
  8. That’s almost every Kyle Flood OL since he’s been at Texas. This OL, for all its faults, has only given up 2 sacks through 3 games. Run blocking continues to be head scratching in year 5.
  9. At least DeMeco's side of the ball is the strongest part of his football team and he's the defensive play caller too.
  10. Yep that's helped PK build his defense into what it is today. Since he has a position coach for every room on defense, he can focus exclusively on game planning.
  11. Obviously that's great and I'm happy for those guys to make it to the league, but can Flood's group play as one cohesive unit at Texas? Can they avoid the constant false starts and holding calls we've seen every season he's been here?
  12. With UCLA and VT kicking off their coaching searches this early, I wonder if UF decides to pull the trigger on Billy Napier if he gets blown out by Miami? A close loss and obviously a win over Miami would get him to the Texas game and he would have a chance to get a big win and save his job for the rest of the regular season. But I bet he’s the next to go.
  13. Bell's had a rough go in high school with back-to-back season ending injuries. Get well soon, young man.
  14. No one's job on the offensive staff should be safe if this is the product that they put on the field for the rest of the season besides maybe Chad Scott since he just got here. No reason Texas shouldn't be top 10 in almost every major offensive category from Sark's third year on. The offensive product has been the same every year of Sark's Texas tenure. Better players from the portal would help a little bit, but I think a four and a fourth season sample size tells me it's systemic.
  15. Doubt that will change this season unless Wisner, Simon, or Clark break a big one in conference play. Sark has to hit the portal hard and find a guy at RB, even with Derrek Cooper coming in. Not sure if the run blocking is something that can be fixed and it is what it is at this point.
  16. Not happening, but I understand the frustration.
  17. Probably not.
  18. These LSU games look like vintage Les Miles type of victories. Suffocating defense but 3 yards and a cloud of dust on offense. Compare that to LSU teams from 2019-2023. High flying offenses and defenses that couldn't stop a nosebleed. It seems so hard to have both an elite offense and elite defense in the same season now. If you fix one side by changing defensive staff and using the portal, the other side of the ball suffers and vice versa. Some of that is because by the time the weaker side is fixed, the players that made the stronger of the two units so good are off to the NFL or out of eligibility.
  19. Simms would be amazing rn. They would be national championship contenders with this defense.
  20. I think their defensive issues catch up to them at some point, but their offense is much improved from a season ago. Looking at their schedule, they should win at least 10 and be a CFP lock. Might even get to Atlanta.
  21. Day did it, Norvell did it, Drinkwitz did it. The list goes on and on. Some of those guys won’t win a natty, but their offensive products are much better than before. Napier has this issue at Florida as well.
  22. That last part is the key. Sark’s career and legacy at Texas are riding on these next two years with Arch. He probably won’t get fired, but I could definitely see him take an NFL job before the entire program collapses. After the Jack Sawyer scoop and score, I kept asking is this it? Is this Sark’s ceiling here? So far, unless drastic changes happen, the answer is most likely yes. Wild how quickly things can change in the era of NIL and the portal. It starts with Sark, but the entire offensive staff doesn’t seem to work well together. I thought by year three, Texas would have a top 10 offense every year, but the same issues remain every year. I would be raising hell if I were PK. Him and his staff have put in all this work to build top 10 defenses year in and year out, yet the offense can’t even execute middle school level plays. It’s sad.
