  1. Here’s a little nugget to take however you please. We have led approximately 205 minutes in our home games. We have trailed exactly 0 minutes. In those approximate 205 minutes, we have played roughly 175 minutes in which our opponents never had the chance to take the lead. While Vandy got ugly late in the win, they were down two scores for 57 minutes of that game only running 4 plays in which they could have tied or taken the lead.
  2. I might buy that he’s outside the house peeking inside. Does that count?
  3. But presumably OU and Vandy are. You’re pretty definitive there about us not being a playoff team.
  4. Maybe. I assumed he gave an excellent interview regarding program management with significant discussion regarding learning from Carroll and Saban but also talk of his previous failures and how he has and plans to overcome those. And certainly lots of talk about offense and offensive philosophy. He has been pretty on point on certain elements of program management too so that shouldn’t get lost.
  5. If we hired Sark because of his OC pedigree, then that’s likely a poor choice. It’s that pedigree that gets his name in the hat, but his main purpose always was and should be overall program management.
  6. The guy averaging sub 4 yards per carry and in a supporting role to a frosh?
  7. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2025/passing_advanced.htm I like this as a frame of reference. It gives an on target% and a bad throw %. It is NFL, but it’s a reminder that everyone misses some. There’s likely some surprises for some persons.
  8. His motion is a little awkward which is probably who he is. I like to be different I suppose. The mechanics issues are overblown somewhat. Pressure and experience impact those things. It’s more a matter of him slowing down and being less rushed. And that rusher pushing the pocket is very significant. And guys with his mentality, they make some wow plays, but that’s often because they aren’t following the expected mechanical or expected decision-making. So you’ll have misfires there too.
  9. About last weekend, and it was similar to Ohio State, there was a feel that the Oline held up better than it did. I’m sure experience will help the throws you mention. Consistent time in the pocket should as well. And we still have too much interior pressure. Those aren’t throws you rush. Those 3 things don’t lend themselves to consistency because patience and time is less consistent. It’s generally easier to let it rip in the face of pressure for many too. As the comfort level goes up, the consistency should as well. He was pressured on 41% of throws versus UGa. The average time to throw on those pressures was sub-3 seconds.
  10. Again, I previously opened the door for some explanation. You elected to pass on that opportunity. I also inquired a bit about your background in an effort to understand your perspective. You passed.
  11. They converted two 4th downs then followed it up with an insides kick. None of those on the secondary. We didn’t contain Stockton at all. It was a team loss.
  12. You’re an idiot.
  13. A 9-3 Texas loses out to 10-2 OU would be my bet. Plus there are other negatives to OU winning.
  14. There is an element to evaluating why things do or don’t go well. You say excuses. I’m telling you it is an attempt to gain an understanding of how it developed, why it developed. Then when evaluating the upcoming matchup it is asinine to use for comparison a game that has dissimilar characteristics. Replacing an experienced safety with one who has very little experience is such an example. Replacing an experienced CB with one who has very little experience is another. Nevermind the fact that your statements were completely wrong. Because in the end it’s about matchups. I am ok with Georgia passing for 400 yards if we win 16-13. I’m also ok if they score 31 and we win 34-31. Do you notice a theme?
  15. Manny missed UF. They had 1 dude score twice with 100+ yards. Who covered him? Taaffe missed all of Vandy. McDonald missed the last 3 quarters. We blew a coverage. We blew 4th and 19. MSU. They did well, had a dump off for 65. Taaffe missed the entire game. Boley played versus us last year. It was his 3rd or 4th start this year.
  16. Who are you? Give me something about your history that indicates anything but arrogance. I don’t need you to come along and tell me Guilbeau blew the coverage versus Vandy then when I request a little confirmation that you ignore it. Substance I’ll take. Some unsubstantiated garbage cause you share similar characteristics to Jerry Jones I won’t. Maybe SJSU had lots of drops. But at least one source credited them with 1. One is not a lot. What is your source stating that Mateer could barely grip a ball? A dude who had 50 touches in that game could barely grip a ball yet had no fumbles. Interesting. Yes the QB was in his first ever start. Thanks, didn’t know that. But for funsies, I might actually rewatch the game.
  17. Yes, I have. Anything can happen but an honest and true evaluation does not lead one to believe Georgia will kill Texas. I am not a true believer in the Texas Oline, but a true analysis would reveal that Brooks was the weakest link. Go figure. It was reported here that he had no work at G prior to being inserted. I don’t anticipate a great rushing performance but that’s not needed if we work our passing game appropriately. It is a smaller sample but no one has picked Texas apart when at full strength. Not Ohio State. Not OU. And of the lesser teams - not SJSU. So we shall see on that front. I’m not sure Georgia has seen a front capable of creating pressure like Texas. Kentucky had success, but 13 points. This Texas is likely its healthiest all season. There’s a good chance this is the most equipped OLine we have had all season. The Oline, QB, WRs have had 3/4 of a season to see what defenses will throw at them. We shall see.
  18. Any rationale as to why they believe that?
  19. People will prop up the SEC as they have for two decades. Miami is good enough to beat Notre Dame just like A&M. They’re also good enough to not beat SMU. And SMU is good enough to be 0-2 versus the Big 12. Ole Miss so good they beat Wazzu by 3. The same Wazzu that lost to North Texas by 49. Yes, that Wazzu that’s so good they just lost to Oregon State. The same OSU that lost to previously winless Sam Houston only a week later. Alabama lost to the great FSU yet is undefeated in the SEC. But I’m sure that’s the reason FSU is 1-5 in the ACC. Home games matter. Timing of the games matter. Matchups matter. There’s not much to indicate the SEC top to bottom runs roughshod through other conferences.
  20. They scored 13 points versus us including an OT possession. Against us, 78% of passes were within 9 yards down the field. On the season that is 63%. So that’s part of the equation. It looks like against UF he had a better completion percentage but was around that 65% at the shorter distances. Kentucky had two games coming off a bye this season. One on the road at USC. The other versus Texas at home. One was his first P5 start of the season, one was not. It stands to reason there was a pointed effort during the bye to give him some simple throws. His passing grade in his last 4 games from PFF has only Auburn lower than us. Of course, only Auburn was on the road.
  21. Did Georgia dominate Florida just last week? Did Georgia dominate Auburn? Vandy abused the offense more than any other team this year. Now the Auburn offense had a good day too.
  22. Seems some of you have not figured out the volatility of college football. That UF team that had Uga in a bind just last week is getting run over this week. Equals we cannot beat Georgia.
  23. I wish it’d give MSU a 3 TD bump.
