    So I heard E Hogan say LBJ on their show this morning. Regardless yeah you’re right it’s likely Duplantier unless the reports that LBJ signed a contract aren’t true. Technically he had until August 1st to sign or not and he does or did have one year of eligibility left. But that to me is a stretch. I said earlier it’d be hard to get LBJ back since he’s already graduated.

    @CJ Vogel @Blake Munroe guys with LBJ coming back seems like the staff is now close if not done with bringing in any more players. What does the accumulated new roster look like?

    I don’t see him getting an NIL deal to cover that plus another year of tuition and living expenses.

    The other thing to consider with LBJ is he has already graduated. Sure he could still come back but having a degree makes the decision a lot harder in my opinion.

    I’ll give Schloss and staff credit for recognizing a huge (but pretty obvious) void left by the previous “staff” and going out and finding the best arms available given the really tight time frame they have to work with. This staff has skins on the wall but I’ll be looking forward to see how next years team comes together. I fully expect next season to be a work in progress hopefully finding their stride by early conference.

    The staff obviously recognizes the void. Glad they are bringing in what is hopefully going to be quality arms. @CJ Vogel do you know where this puts Texas in terms of scholarships left?

    Beryl hasn’t intensified rapidly like Harvey due to the dry air on the south and east sides of the storm getting pulled into the storm. I am hearing it should increase between this afternoon and landfall some. Possibly even as a low cat 2. Hope all that are affected by this storm are safe and make a fast, full recovery. Hurricanes suck!

    Im sure there will be a bunch with RV’s that leave and many that don’t. With a hurricane coming up the coastline regardless of where it lands I’m not going to take a chance.

    Yeah especially after Alberto. That storm did some damage. Grounds are already saturated and the entire town of Rockport is mostly flat. This looks to be bigger than Alberto so I’d expect a bigger storm surge too. Then there’s the tornadoes that come with these storms though they are mostly in the north side of the storm.

    This is what I was afraid of. We have a RV in Rockport. Looks I’ll be moving it out. I’ll bet it’s gonna be stronger than NWS predicts.

    I sure hope not! But I do think it’s a good possibility at this point.

    This isn’t true. It’s actually just the opposite. High pressure is moving away from Texas opening the door for a tropical system to move in. That combined with the already warmer than average water temps in the gulf means Beryl could build in strength while he’s in the gulf. Wherever it lands it’s not going to be good. Still early no doubt but a Texas landfall can’t be ruled out at this point.

    @Blake Munroe @CJ Vogel have y’all heard anything on LBJ? I know he graduated but I thought he still had a year of eligibility left. I would love to see what MW could do with him.

    I think with good coaching we will see a big improvement in the arms from last season. I agree on needing a couple more.

    Beryl is a concern for me and many others. Still very early but something to watch as the week progresses. And there’s another tropical system right behind it

    Aggie hiring Early was a bailout move to keep their current players. They were about to be in deep sh!! with no head coach and basically no team. Hiring a head coach with zero experience is borderline dumb but they don’t have a choice. I don’t see this being a long term move.
