    I’m curious to see how many more staff members make the move from aggieville. He brought the ones that were at the press conference but he said he would try for several more. Next few weeks should be good!

    Schloss said “I hope to bring potentially a few more guys” taking about more coaching staff members. Might as well they’ll probably be out of job when the new coaches come in.

    Question- with the baseball transfer portal window and the MLB draft which I believe is on the heels of the portal window, how does that impact Texas potentially not having a new head coach in place for another week?

    I think he will be the coach next season. I’m not convinced he’s the right man for the job going forward next year. But there’s also no guarantee a new coach would do better than he will next year. Now if he stays and doesn’t hire a solid pitching coach fit would hit the shan with fans.

    Those girls showed a lot of grit last night against a team that played like a 1 seed. Teagan Kavan showed the kind of mound presence you see from a 3 or 4th year player not a freshman. Huge win for the program! 🤘🤘

    It will be interesting to see how the committee treats Texas after that showing. Wouldn’t surprise me if Texas winds up in a really tough regional like Aggieville as a 3 seed.

    Me too. I’ve learned a ton just listening to those two. Gonna be fun watching Zeke call the game from the Yeti yard tonight. That’s one I wish I could make.

    That would lock them in a two seed in my opinion. Biggest issue I see is if they get the Aggieville regional draw.

    Yep at this point they’re doing better than a lot of us through they would 4-6 weeks ago including myself. As long as they win next the series next weekend they could be in the NCAA tournament regardless of what happens in the conference tournament.

    Has anyone seen Tulo in the dugout lately? I did see him in the dugout earlier in the season but in the past month or so I haven’t seen him in there.

    Right now most projections I’m seeing are projecting Texas as a 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. Obviously two big series left though. If they win both series and make a decent showing in the conference tournament they should at least be a 3 seed in the tournament.

    I agree the program isn’t where it needs to be. We’ve seen areas of big improvement this season (mostly with the offense) and seen regression (mostly with pitching and defense). It’s been a roller coaster no doubt. The Horns might have cracked the top 50 after last weekend. But there are still key games left on the schedule. Regular season champs is still possible.

    I gotta give kiddos to coach Pierce and his staff. When LBJ went out early I thought they were done. The bats obviously carried the team which is how this team is probably going to win most games the rest of the way. That was a big series win! Lotta work left to do. Hopefully weather works out this weekend.
