  1. Sark simply has to field an offense that can flat out move the ball. Sark is the OC/HC and in all the years he has been at Texas, he hasn't had the offenses we thought we'd get with an offensive genius reputation. To me, the presssure is more on Sark than Arch.
  2. Reed is an underwhelming QB. With his frame and chicken legs, I will be surprised if he even makes it to our late season matchup. Now, I don't wish injury on him or any player, but he will be lucky if he is healthy for the second half of the season. 6'1", 185lbs? jeez.
  3. I never knew whether it was coaching against ou or Roy, but yea, ou seemed to neutralize him. He wasn't horrible against ou by any means, but he was just a type of player that we needed to be used as a weapon and make ou stop him. I will still take him as the best #4 tied with Dawson who had a 20 year NFL career and was money at Texas.
  4. I was only thinking football. I would have to rethink mine a little
  5. Ole Miss has good things going for it and "should" be good, but the unknown factor of a new coaching staff has me non-believing or better said "not committed" to them until I see it.
  6. Who would be your "plus 1"? Street?
  7. Slim pickins this week-not a lot to choose from as far as quality matchups go. Colorado at Georgia Tech (-6.5): I have no clue, but I'll take GT at home. Clemson at #11 LSU (-10): Clemson has Chad Morris at OC, but not sure that will even help. I expect LSU to win comfortably and cover. Wisconsin at #4 Notre Dame (-20.5): ND is solid, but I am not sure they will cover 20pts. #24 Louisville at #9 Ole Miss (-7): Tough to call this one. If I had to pick the Dog of the week, I would pick Louisville to beat Ole Miss. #19 SMU(-3.5) at FSU: I would have probably picked FSU at home, but damn, they made NMSU look somewhat competitive. I'll take SMU. Who do you guys have? Is there a game I didn't list that should have?
  8. Tie for Jordan and Cedric. Nobody else is a close second. No disrespect to all the other 8ers, but these two were special.
  9. Michael Dickson by quite a bit, imho. My #2 would be Palmer. I liked Dodge and Heard, but not a distinguished enough of a record. Koenning, I don't know enough about
  10. Just innocently googled Sarkisian age because I wanted to know how old he is. Google asked me if I meant Cheryl Sarkisian, who is 80. Who the hell is Cheryl Sarkisian? None other than “Cher”. I am an “old” and I had no idea. Sorry if this is old news, but I didn’t know and thought it may interest others. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. Casey Hampton, D'Onta Foreman and Dan Neil have one thing in common. They had to be pretty damn good to play under the dark coaching days of Texas and still make the list. I opted not to include Ricky because Mack was at the helm when he broke out and won the Heisman. The one guy that comes to mind when talking dark days of coaching is Britt Hager, yes prior to 1992, but nonetheless, he jumps out instantly in my brain.
  12. Thanks for the post, but I think I want to puke. Bedenbaugh coaches how to hold and gets all sorts of praise.
  13. I just signed up. I have been watching the OTF staff on youtube for the last year and chose this site because of them. I had been on the free site at Orangebloods for many years, but it got taken down a few months back. I just wanted to briefly introduce myself as I am anxiously awaiting this season and talking Texas sports. Btw, I hate ou more than aggy. Hook'em!
