  1. My guy it's a forum for Texas fans to talk about Texas football. What does any of that have to do with people's concerns? This is such a weird take lol.
  2. Alex, I'll take option 3 for 500, thank you.
  3. Less under center. Less play action. Go more shotgun and let him RPO/straight drop back. Less long developing plays and give him more quick/easy throws. Stop trying to play bully man ball, you don't have the OL or OL coach for it, you can't just arrogantly run with 8 guys in the box. Get your younger play makers more involved at WR/TE. RB there isn't anyone elite there, that includes Wisner, imo. Right now, it looks more like Manning is overthinking everything and Sark isn't really helping him out. He looks like he wants to call an offense that isn't working and instead of setting his QB up for success might have set him up for failure. While the OL isn't perfect he has time to throw, he just overthinks what he's seeing. He's also not throwing/playing like he did last yea, not sure if that's because he knew it wasn't only temporary or what. I should mention you have to do a better job of getting him going early and often. Not run on 1st down, run on 2nd down, okay 3rd and long, oh he missed. Might also need to have some other plays in the back pocket for some red zone plays. Just my uneducated take. To me it seems like he completely changed what his offense was originally but that's just what I think. Not sure I'd pay for my opinion or coaching advice but just what I'm seeing out there.
  4. You might be right, Sark seemed like he wasn't even going to think about it and had 100% faith in Coach Flood. Might be blind faith who knows. But I'm hoping he can get the best 5 out there.
  5. Yeah, I don't know if you needed to bring in OL help from the portal, but recruiting wise hasn't been that great outside of a few guys. Just developmental guys. I know Gerry says you can't stack the OL room like you used to because of NIL but I do think Flood could've done a better job there. I think I said it here or somewhere else, that we'll see what Flood made of this year as an OL coach because it's practically a brand new OL, first time he's had to do that in several years. So far, they're probably above average at best? The only bright spot has been Goosby. I agree with WR, I also mentioned here or somewhere else, that we would see what Sark's recruited WR's would look like and again, outside of Livingstone, pretty disappointing so far. Now not all their fault but still. I've no idea what Sark is seeing in practice and on film, that he keeps doing the same thing over and over again. He's almost regressed to 21/22 playcalling.
  6. Was this Milwee as the OC there? Wasn't he heading back there before Sark pulled him to Texas?
  7. That's a recurring theme with him. Wide open receivers that he can't hit and easy throws that he can't make.
  8. I forgot to ask, but did Collin Simmons play in this one? Was I blind and didn't see him out there? Never heard his name called and he has no stats?
  9. To be fair, Manning, Lacey and Bell all fit that mold than Owens and say Ewers did.
  10. I can't believe how many penalties we've had in just 3 games. 25 so far isn't it? That is ridiculous.
  11. If the offense isn't broke, I don't know what you call this hot mess so far this year. I was ready for the inexperience factor but this is bad even beyond that. There is no consistency, no improvement, only spurts of good here or there. Arch Manning looking like Tyrone Swoopes, WR's can't catch the ball, OL can't block that well. I mean what are we even doing? I'm not ready to throw the towel in but I'm finding it hard to put any stock in this offense right now. It looks horrible, for a supposed offensive genius. This is beyond frustrating to see.
  12. I just don't understand what the issue is. Makes no sense to me. We'll hear the same 'ol things from Sark "we gotta play better, we gotta execute better, we gotta play complimentary football", etc. But when will that reflect on the field? If you're struggling to consistently move the ball against lesser teams, how do you expect to beat Florida? OU? Georgia? Texas A&M? I'm trying not to be a negative nelly, because being straight up negative is of no benefit to anyone but what I'm seeing right now is the same product getting put out every week and zero improvement. That is a concern.
  13. I knew we were inexperienced on O so I understood some struggles but they haven't gotten better in 3 weeks. Last week they were good in a short burst of great play and then long periods of nothing. Struggle to move the ball, struggle to get a push against lesser competition, struggle to run the ball (I don't care that your top guys are out, you should still be able to run better). It's not so much the score (again) that bothers me, it's the level of play being put out there.
  14. Let's go Colt! Great stuff and thank you for keeping us in the loop, Blake. Wish him nothing but the best and healthy season
  15. Sark in the presser "You know, I think we just gotta get better and what face do you make on the toilet? Because that's how our offense looks right now"
  16. If I was one of them, name and shame me lol. Because I deserve it.
  17. Yeah, I might be starting to worry a little. It's 3 weeks in a row of the same miscues, the same penalties, the same mistakes. Yes we're missing some guys, but against UTEP? No wonder Ohio State didn't need to do much of anything offensively, they knew our O couldn't do anything. Did we completely change the O up or something? I've no idea what is causing Manning to look this bad right now. He has flashes of brilliance, but most of it is just bad. OL looks bad. I know we aren't supposed to openly criticize things because "playoffs two years in a row" but boy are the wheels coming off a little this year.
  18. I'm making another post to apologize to you, you were almost spot on lol.
  19. I wish I would've known the team was going to sh*t the bed today against UTEP, now my score prediction looks stupid lol.
  20. People don't like any criticism of Flood anywhere, but it might be time to start, imo. Him and Milwee.
  21. Just coming back to this thread to say...oof
  22. Yep, thinking about how talented the team will be next year. January, Watson, Kanu, Sharma, Charles, Terry at DL. Simmons, Umeozulu, Vasek (whenever he decides to come back and stay healthy), Jackson, Spence (can also move back to LB if needed), Smith at Edge. Lefau, Smith, Barnes, Atkinson at LB (I think I'm forgetting someone here?). DB's have Hicks, Filsaime, Black, Littleton, J. Williams, D.Williams (I think he'll 99.99% come back lol), Phillips, Johnson-Rubell, Roberson, Mack and I'm probably forgetting some from that list to choose from. A lot of these guys are getting some run this year, too. They might be overall less experienced next year, but imo could be just as talented if not more so.
  23. I'm not too sure about that. There is a ton of young guys getting snaps. Sharma, Charles, Terry, Jackson, Smith, Littleton, Black, etc. The guys behind them are very talented. On top of guys like Lefau, January, Watson, Kanu, Johnson (if he decides to come back) and the younger guys stepping up. Could see a step back, but I don't know. The D has been humming as of late and PK and Nansen have really done a great job. Especially PK, who garnered nothing but ridicule his first couple of years here, whilst he was building a championship D. Now we're still waiting for the O to catch up lol.
