  1. Is this guy really a take at RB? I know we're worried about Baxter when he comes back, but he's similar size. So is Clark. I think if you're going to grab someone, it would have to be a player who is okay sharing snaps and/or not being the main guy.
  2. The current starting TE's at Texas are Helm (6'5 250) and Davis (6'4 235). So Klare is about smack bang in the middle of that weight wise. Other TE's on the roster: Niblack (6'4 245), Randle (6'4 240), Shannon (6'7 255), Washington (6'4 250) and Barker (6'4 250).
  3. Ah, that was a 50/50 for us, but I think if you land Singleton this week, that will be huge to cover that up. You think they kick the tires on a 2nd guy? I was always of the belief that if Golden came back, 1 would be enough, if he left, you'd maybe want 2?
  4. Michael "Mookie" Taaffe.
  5. He played really well. He's been a bit hit or miss this year.
  6. Duncanville vs North Crowley, battle of the most transfers, lol. Anyway, my team got their butts handed to them in the 2nd round by North Crowley. Looked like we were moving in slow motion playing them. I think at one point they had run like 4 plays and were up 21-0 (two offensive TD's and a pick 6, I believe). Anyway, according to some Duncanville people, they may be down for a bit. Their next great class is in the 8th grade. But I think they'll be fine. Though I didn't see North Shore getting beat by Westlake like that.
  7. Yeah, Gerry is always right on that. I guess we'll see what happens then.
  8. This is what I'm saying. I know we don't want the inexperience back there, but we don't want to be losing the guys we have either. But that's just me being overly dramatic because who knows what will happen. Thieneman going to Oregon doesn't surprise me, because they also lose both of their starting S's who they brought in last year. The guys you mentioned JJR, McDonald, Filsaime and Jonah when he comes in are some guys right there. If you pair one of them with Taaffe (assuming he comes back) that could work out really well.
  9. Ah I forgot about them adding Brown. Then again, you could say the same about our WR's? Assuming that say, Golden comes back? Then again, a starting WR core of Singleton, Golden, Moore and Wingo would be deadly.
  10. Well what we've seen from Arnold, is you're going to be chasing DB's more than catching the ball, so maybe no bueno for Auburn, lol. Nussmeier is pretty good, but I'm sure Arch has some pull, too.
  11. Well I might not go to Auburn because Arnold is there now, lol. Not sure what the other programs there have, but I know we have an elite guy following Ewers.
  12. Also, looks like Auburn won out for Jackson Arnold, which hurts Miss. State even more, now that they lost their stud QB to the portal, LOL. Not sure how long Coach Lebby is going to stay around if he has another year like this one.
  13. I'm honestly surprised by this list. So many thought he would go Georgia. I honestly like this kid and hope he signs with us. Speed is insane.
  14. Saw that LA Tech is replacing them.
  15. Thanks for letting me know. I've been searching through the transfer portal lists trying to see who could be a potential target. Surprisingly hard to narrow down with the size Texas wants and production.
  16. Thanks mate and I agree. My sister and I had to fight him to even go check when he had rapid weight loss and wasn't eating anything. Unfortunately by the time we could get him to, it had spread everywhere. Tried some chemo but it just made him even worse. Not sure what this would be in pounds, but he's just above or just under 40kgs now, as a 67 year old.
  17. Thanks mate, sorry to hear about your MiL, too.
  18. Cancer sucks. My dad has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and doesn't have long to live. You basically watch them become something you barely recognize. It's painful stuff. Wish all the best to Randy Moss and his family. It takes a toll on everyone involved. As for ESPN, I mean why do they do anything? Seems a bit weird to call him that, but I mean that is technically his job now, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Though I can see your point about it.
  19. Not much out there right now with DT's, I'm assuming some of the guys, the staff wanted to kick the tires on, haven't jumped in? Haven't really heard much about DT recruiting in the portal.
  20. I want to say I'm surprised by this, but I'm not. With a young talented Edge position already there (Vasek, Simmons, Umeozulu) to pair with Moore and Burke. Then you add on top of that Jackson and Orogbo coming in, man I don't blame the guy one bit. Wish him all the best, him and his family are a class act.
  21. Even if he goes to the NFL, they won't show much interest in him until later rounds. But man, whoever gets him, is getting a steal. Guy has worked his ass off from a PWO to a scholarship/starting spot and absolutely killing it.
  22. I'm curious what is even happening at OU right now. Is it the constant turnover with coaches or something, especially the OC? I mean to bring in an Air Raid guy and lose like 6-7 WR's, your top TE and two QB's is crazy to me. I wonder if this would've happened during Herman's era if the portal was alive and well back then. At this point, they might just have to switch to the flexbone temporarily when they play Navy, lol.
  23. I see you on the 247sports website, well I did until I got hit with the 403 error, lol. Love your posts over there. Now, I'm not the biggest basketball guy out there, but what do you think the issues or problems are? Outside of coaching? Is it NIL or what?
  24. Yes sir, but he's not very mobile. Although now that you bring it up, maybe Ewers needed a bit of extra beef?
  25. If some things go our way, you're looking at a blow out against Georgia. That first half should've had us with 21 points instead of 6. That would force Georgia to throw the ball more, which they aren't that great at, especially with Stockon. Outside of the big run by Etienne, they didn't really do much. Our D stood tall for the whole game. Under 300 yards and 16 points in regular time, most coaches would take that in a heartbeat and assume you win, lol. Not to mention all the calls and fumbles that bounced their way, literally. I've never seen a fumble bounce from about the middle of the field all the way out of bounds, lol. That was wild. Indicative of it not being our night, unfortunately. Wouldn't be afraid of Georgia, they haven't whipped us either time we played. We literally handed them the game in the first game with poor offensive and special teams play. Our O found it's pulse in the 2nd game, but were allergic to the end zone.
