Kaliq Lockett seems ok
Probably won't see a ton of time this year with the guys ahead of him. But I'm hoping we can keep most of the WR's around for next year, could be a really good bunch.

Media effort to get Royal to flip
Said it in another thread but Texas is going to fight LSU hard for Royal.
-
Easton Royal at The Opening check in
Reading the tea leaves, it seems like Greedy is a likely flip. Royal, I think Texas is going to fight LSU for that one.

A few Thursday AM recruiting notes
Camara and Rhoa would be a great additions to the OL class. Do you project Rhoa to be more of a G at the next level or do you think he's capable of both?

A few Thursday AM recruiting notes
Well we knew with Kiffin there, they would be.

OTF nugget on Greedy James | Wednesday 11 a.m.
is the NIL for 2027 recruits separate from the funds they'll need to retain guys for next year? Or is it all one big pool and they just budget it accordingly. Either way, wish the young buck all the best if he does de-commit and hope wee can land some of our other targets.

The hilarious flip flop flipping of Ben’Jarvius Schumaker
I'm not sure why kids are so quick to commit and then continue to flip flop like a fish out of water.

Landen Williams-Callis Update
Probably numerous sources. There is the Texas One Fund. I'm sure some of the BMD's chip in. There are many associated businesses with Texas alum, etc. Just my best guess anyway.

2026 Women's Softball Thread
Both the Baseball and Softball pitching is going to be nuts next year.

Landen Williams-Callis Update
Well I'm not a billionaire or they would be lol.

I'm excited to See J-Terry play more.

Baseball: St. Mary’s catcher Ian Armstrong commits to Texas
I was just making the hoke the Aggies liked to throw around about us before, that we weren't "SEC" ready and the players we recruited weren't "SEC" ready either. But I agree with your points.

Baseball: St. Mary’s catcher Ian Armstrong commits to Texas
He's not uh "SEC ready" although apparently neither are the Aggies.

Baseball: St. Mary’s catcher Ian Armstrong commits to Texas
Great stuff and glad to hear it. With Tinney leaving, this slots in very nicely for Texas. Great pick up by the staff.

Nolan Cain Leaves Texas, Returns to Texas A&M
Well I'm not going to continue going back and forth with you on it, so we don't clog up the thread lol. But I appreciate the back and forth, being respectful, etc. Appreciate the info, too.

Baseball portal is open
Glad to hear.

Nolan Cain Leaves Texas, Returns to Texas A&M
Okay but nobody seems to be panicking about it and seems like a new hire could be in the works in a few days. I'm sure Schloss was aware of it. I just don't see it as a reason to go into full blown panic mode. Again, saying it's "no secret" but not providing any proof is still blowing smoke. I don't think Schloss would've bothered with the move to Texas if there was no investment into Baseball, which is a big deal at Texas. If you want more investment, you need to fight for it and show it. Sark had to do the same for Football. Now if it does bite us in the ass, I'll happily (or sadly) eat crow on it but right now I'm just not seeing the cause for panic.

Nolan Cain Leaves Texas, Returns to Texas A&M
I don't understand how losing our associate head coach is cause for such a meltdown? I doubt there's not money going into the program. Schloss doesn't seem like the type of dude that would've made the move if there was no investment in the program. Unless you can provide some actual proof to that, it just seems like blowing smoke.

Baseball portal is open
Does the loss of the recruiting coordinator to A&M hamper going after portal targets or are they still solid in that regard?

What went wrong in Omaha and what's next for the Texas baseball program?
True leadership.

What went wrong in Omaha and what's next for the Texas baseball program?
You guys covering baseball did a fantastic job. I've had a blast learning the sport and watching the games, when I used to think baseball was boring af. Great season, disappointing end and here's to hoping we come back next year even stronger.

Cody Campbell still crying.
It's off-season, we don't really got a lot to talk about right now lol.

College World Series
He was good against us, no doubt. Biggest issue was our bats going cold. In both games. Combination of those two things = no bueno.

Texas Softball Finds An Assistant Coach | Wednesday 7:05 PM
Well that was my point. The WR coach is going to get more for a sport that pulls in more money vs a HC in a sport that doesn't. It's all relative. Plus with Patty her base salary is only 300k, the rest of it comes from private funds. At least according to a quick google search. Apparently their Softball program generates 4.1 million. So half their revenue is going toward the coach (hypothetically speaking). But they also spend more than they make at 7.7 million operating costs. Anyway, I'm just blabbing on at this point and you know what I'm talking about anyway.
