  1. He didn't look like he was running, as much as he was shuffling out there. Then Baker, well I don't know what he was doing.
  2. If you think that is what this is, you're not paying attention. Calling people fairweather fans for being critical of something that has been a consistent problem, lol. Come on man.
  3. I'm watching some of his throws against UTEP and comparing them to these in the video, that are the exact same. It's like night and day. Here makes the throws, against UTEP he misses them (and against OSU and SJSU). It truly is baffling.
  4. He could have this personnel and with the mistakes he's made this year, that would not make a difference.
  5. Goosby is our best OL, but I just went back and looked at that play of his where he tried to chop block a guy one on one and Arch got blasted because of it. What in God's name was he even trying to do there? Get up on your man and do something, don't just try to chop block him...that had the to be the single dumbest thing I've seen an OL do and he's our best guy on the OL....
  6. Thanks for posting this and cutting it up (if that was you). I see some poor throws here, but overall if we had this guy throwing the ball this year, we beat Ohio State and we blow SJSU and UTEP out by 60 each. This year, he can't even make some of those simple throws he does easy here. Also, unless I'm blind I didn't see any side arm throws.
  7. Guys getting injured a lot in HS make me worry. Tends to lean towards a career littered with injuries. Ewers, Baxter, etc. Anyway, wish him all the best in his recovery.
  8. Is this not on Coach Choice and Coach Sark for lacking of elite recruiting at RB? Poor evaluations/development? I mean, don't get me wrong Wisner is good but he isn't elite. We have no speed at RB, no elite game changer there. That is a problem and it should not be. Plus the run blocking is okay but leaves a lot to be desired. For several years we've had a lack of push up front. Too much finesse/thinking and not enough beat your ass and get you to the dirt, so to speak. When was the last time we really saw an OL at Texas maul somebody up front? '23 Bama game, maybe?
  9. To be fair, even when they do protect him, he still can't hit wide open guys.
  10. Also, I get what people are saying about the OL getting guys into the NFL but the product on the field wasn't good last year and it isn't this year either. The lack of push in the run game has been evident for a while, even when Bijan was here. Dude was dodging guys in the backfield to pick up yards. When you can't even get a push up front against UTEP or SJSU, that is a problem. I understand people might see this as "crying" or whatever, but the product on the field doesn't lie. Penalties have been an issue for years, no change there. Mental mistakes on the Ol, no change there. Yes some of this is on the players but at some point you gotta point to the coaches. Criticism is allowed guys, whether you think it's warranted or not. It seems like this offense is completely disjointed.
  11. As much as I might agree with you, a lot of the fan base doesn't take well to criticism of Flood. That and Sark has blind faith in Flood, he's been with him at 3 different stops now, I believe. Atlanta, Bama and now Texas. While he says the right things and came in sound great, I've been less than impressed with his product on the field for the past 5 years. For some reason our big humans can't get in and push teams around on the LOS, even lowly UTEP and SJSU.
  12. My guy it's a forum for Texas fans to talk about Texas football. What does any of that have to do with people's concerns? This is such a weird take lol.
  13. Alex, I'll take option 3 for 500, thank you.
  14. Less under center. Less play action. Go more shotgun and let him RPO/straight drop back. Less long developing plays and give him more quick/easy throws. Stop trying to play bully man ball, you don't have the OL or OL coach for it, you can't just arrogantly run with 8 guys in the box. Get your younger play makers more involved at WR/TE. RB there isn't anyone elite there, that includes Wisner, imo. Right now, it looks more like Manning is overthinking everything and Sark isn't really helping him out. He looks like he wants to call an offense that isn't working and instead of setting his QB up for success might have set him up for failure. While the OL isn't perfect he has time to throw, he just overthinks what he's seeing. He's also not throwing/playing like he did last yea, not sure if that's because he knew it wasn't only temporary or what. I should mention you have to do a better job of getting him going early and often. Not run on 1st down, run on 2nd down, okay 3rd and long, oh he missed. Might also need to have some other plays in the back pocket for some red zone plays. Just my uneducated take. To me it seems like he completely changed what his offense was originally but that's just what I think. Not sure I'd pay for my opinion or coaching advice but just what I'm seeing out there.
  15. You might be right, Sark seemed like he wasn't even going to think about it and had 100% faith in Coach Flood. Might be blind faith who knows. But I'm hoping he can get the best 5 out there.
  16. Yeah, I don't know if you needed to bring in OL help from the portal, but recruiting wise hasn't been that great outside of a few guys. Just developmental guys. I know Gerry says you can't stack the OL room like you used to because of NIL but I do think Flood could've done a better job there. I think I said it here or somewhere else, that we'll see what Flood made of this year as an OL coach because it's practically a brand new OL, first time he's had to do that in several years. So far, they're probably above average at best? The only bright spot has been Goosby. I agree with WR, I also mentioned here or somewhere else, that we would see what Sark's recruited WR's would look like and again, outside of Livingstone, pretty disappointing so far. Now not all their fault but still. I've no idea what Sark is seeing in practice and on film, that he keeps doing the same thing over and over again. He's almost regressed to 21/22 playcalling.
  17. Was this Milwee as the OC there? Wasn't he heading back there before Sark pulled him to Texas?
  18. That's a recurring theme with him. Wide open receivers that he can't hit and easy throws that he can't make.
  19. I forgot to ask, but did Collin Simmons play in this one? Was I blind and didn't see him out there? Never heard his name called and he has no stats?
  20. To be fair, Manning, Lacey and Bell all fit that mold than Owens and say Ewers did.
  21. I can't believe how many penalties we've had in just 3 games. 25 so far isn't it? That is ridiculous.
  22. If the offense isn't broke, I don't know what you call this hot mess so far this year. I was ready for the inexperience factor but this is bad even beyond that. There is no consistency, no improvement, only spurts of good here or there. Arch Manning looking like Tyrone Swoopes, WR's can't catch the ball, OL can't block that well. I mean what are we even doing? I'm not ready to throw the towel in but I'm finding it hard to put any stock in this offense right now. It looks horrible, for a supposed offensive genius. This is beyond frustrating to see.
