    Baugh would be great, but good chance he would end up at Georgia seeing as he's from there. Him and Wilson would be great.

    One thing that popped out to me, in his 1 1/2 years of college ball, he hasn't fumbled the ball once.

    I'm not that concerned with '27 recruits. I'm still waiting for Texas to finish out their '26 class.

    I think he's a good hire, but he's not a "flashy" or "exciting" hire, imo. But his teams typically play pretty well and I do agree with you that I don't think he wants to stay at ISU but he at least has the chance to pick and choose if and when he leaves.

    Do you think 8 wins saves his job or does he need more? I think at 7-5 they're going to fire him. Auburn needs to cut their losses and get a new HC and QB. Arnold looked good early on but boy he looked like typical Arnold the rest of the way.

    They have a tough schedule but I don't see him getting fired if he can get 8 wins, imo.

    Texas hasn't even offered Spell, what makes you think he would even choose Texas?

    Believe or not, there is talk about Elko from A&M. That could be trying to sucker A&M into another Jimbo type deal, so who really knows lol.

    I think it's underperforming when they returned a lot from last years team and guys even came back for this year specifically. But I do agree with what you're saying.

    Wait, what? I didn't think they'd rush to fire him like this. Craziness.

    I saw several plays where Burke was going against him and getting held a lot. The most egregious was when he was right behind Mateer and Fasusi was holding on for dear life lol.

    For 4 games? We never saw him until Sam Houston State. Seem harsher than what most people get for that type of stuff in college ball. Just saying.

    My only dislike, is that I didn't like them just throwing Brooks into the mix last week like that. If they knew he was the best option, they should've used the three G5 games to get him reps. But anyway, I digress. He at least gives us a better chance there.

    I'm watching the game now, as I didn't get a chance to watch when it was live, unfortunately. Brooks seems like he is coming a long. Certainly had some whiffs early on but I think the positive runs by Wisner gave him confidence and he used that confidence to get better through out the game. If so, that bodes well going into next year but we'll see.

    Jeff, once again, great article. You always sum up the after thoughts of a game pretty well - good or bad. I agree, savior this win, as a fan for 20 years now, I've seen my fair share of losses to the Sooners and also upset of the Sooners. These games are always great. Loved the effort and attitude of the boys to get it done and bounce back from last weeks showing. Penalties were down, turnovers were down and they lit the OU O up. All it took was some pressure to rattle Mateer and he seemed spooked. So happy for the boys especially because I'm certain it wasn't easy after last week and how it panned out. Looks like Bobby's predictions could play out with the 10-2 but I'm certain the boys are focused and ready to tackle Kentucky next week, after savouring the OU tears for a while.

    Well they just scored to go up 31-17, doubt Florida is going to win they've looked pedestrian this second half.

    I still can't believe Penn State is 3-3 with all that they returned from last years squad.

    They look bad, I know Auburn has a legit front on D but they look terrible offensively.

    Guys, how do we get Georgia to play like this against us? We play them and everything seems to go there way lol.

    I'm all for criticism when and where it's warranted but we just beat OU. Let's enjoy that for a while first. Especially after last weeks game.

    10-0 now and Georgia offensively looks inept. South Carolina up 7-3 on LSU after a long TD run by SC.

    Bro what is this weekend. Oregon and Penn State both lose. Iowa State lost to Colorado and TCU got whooped by K-State. Ole Miss barely scraps by Washington State. Florida and Texas A&M tied at 14 in the 1st qtr....

    I have never been more happy to eat crow in my life. Can't wait to watch the replay, wasn't able to catch it live, I was exhausted and didn't manage to get up at 6:30am to catch it.
