    I was just coming here to post about this, lol. I'm not sure he would've gone either way, think he was just looking to up his money at BYU. Penn State is really having a hard time. All the big time jobs are filled up and they're still there with their pants down. Just go and hire Hartline and get it over with....Unless they're really looking to make the splash hire with Elko?

    I'm not sure he was as much of benefit as you're claiming here Jeff, but I do wish him all the best at UNT, big shoes to fill, that is for sure.

    Baugh wouldn't come to Texas, even if he jumped in the portal. He's more likely to head back to Georgia than move even further away lol.

    Sure, but that's assuming Lanning can't get whoever he wants at OC, which isn't true. But I understand what you're saying.

    Florida was relatively healthy as a team, had a chip on their shoulder and was playing for their season at that point still. It still doesn't justify us playing like absolute dog water in that game though or making Lagway look better than he is.

    I'm assuming with Kiffin to LSU, Martinez is out of the picture and locked into LSU? Would you take both him and Lee or whoever you can land first?

    I don't think that one would happen, even if they did. He just doesn't want to be at Texas.

    Lane Kiffin if he doesn't sh*t the bed again at a Blue Blood, will succeed at LSU. That will be a home run hire, depending on what he does defensively.

    My uneducated opinion is that the focus should be quality OL players, mostly interior and a #1 RB. Wisner has his moments but isn't consistently involved and is typically not a difference maker. So for me, something like this should be the focus: 3-4 IOL 1 RB 1 NT 1-2 LB 1 CB 1 S 1 K 1 P After all that, then look for other stuff. Right now, I don't think Marsh is a massive upgrade over what we have. If you give these guys a proper off-season to work with Arch, unlike this previous one, I think that makes a world of difference. We also need to decide what we want to do schematically and stick with it.

    That doesn't really seem like an upgrade over James Franklin though, imo. What exactly has Sitake done that makes him better than Franklin?

    Looks like Oregon OC - Will Stein is the current favourite for the Kentucky job. Didn't realize he was a Kentucky native.

    Now that you mention it, I don't understand it either. Think he's done pretty well there, but unless he has ties to Penn State or he's from around that region, then it would be a weird hire.

    Yeah I've been seeing it, too. Kinda crazy if that is true. Maybe Gerry was onto something.

    He might, be interesting to see if anyone comes after him or Flood. Not sure if either have any HC interest?
