  1. Past hour
  2. Taking some of our UT law summer associates to the game today. Crazy deals on tickets.
  3. The thing I'm curious about this season is his health. Most college QBs are either fighter pilots or bus drivers and Leavitt is the face of the fighter pilot group. Fun playstyle, but will he be able to hold up for 9 games in the SEC?
  4. I’ve seen several posts today claiming that NCAA legal representation is being handled by attorneys from the University of Texas and the University of Houston — is there any truth to that?
  5. We get it you are in love with him Gerry he is still a fraud QB and that’s ok
  6. Sam Leavitt is 6-1 vs top 25 ranked teams as a starter. I'm not saying he's a great player, but he's certainly better than most in CFB at his position. 34-9 TD/INT and a threat with his legs that was a huge part of the turnaround at AzState
  7. He ain’t going 122 today, and it’s unlikely they’ll be here in two days.
  8. Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire pushes for Brendan Sorsby's reinstatement after gambling violations. “He’s got a serious problem, and I think the best place to get help is him being at Texas Tech and him being able to play." LOL
  9. Sark didn’t “punch down.” He made a point about schedule disparity, and Tech turned it into their personality. That’s not on him. Tech feeling “acknowledged” says more about them than it does about Texas. When a program is that desperate for relevance, literally anything you say becomes their Super Bowl. And honestly? If a single offhand line from Sark is enough to make Tech feel important, that tells you exactly where the two programs actually sit. Texas is prepping for Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Tech is prepping for quote graphics. This isn’t embarrassing for Texas - it’s embarrassing for Tech that they needed this to feel seen.
  10. Yeah, I don’t think are eager to add either. Presumably they play in the Big 12 championship game. So that’s another game. What is the actual incentive to play a more difficult game? It’s also a two way street. What’s the incentive for anyone else to play them? And when I say anyone, it has to be a team that moves the needle. There are multiple Big 10 teams that don’t. The SEC teams can default to the “it just means more” of the SEC schedule. The ACC is largely more of the same. Miami/Clemson/FSU have their SEC rivals.
  11. Ain't none of the Rocky. That's for damn sure.

  13. https://www.instagram.com/p/DY6yyMHDkol/?igsh=dHllcnZmaHV6dDF1 And the clown show continues.
  14. I read it as Sark's attempt to highlight strength of schedule more when the committee decides which teams get the last couple of spots in the CFP. Tech can't do much about the weakness of their conference foes but they do control who they schedule out of conference and they didn't seem eager to add any teams with a pulse when they actually had a chance to do it. The only thing I didn't like about Sark's comment was the shot about our 2's and 3's would (could? I forgot the exact quote) go undefeated playing that schedule. We have good 2's at WR and maybe RB and a young but likely talented QB but our 2nd string OL looks pretty weak to be bragging about going undefeated in the Big 12. Likewise on D we could field stout dudes at DL and EDGE and CB but I wouldn't have faith in our 2nd team LB and S units going undefeated. As Bobby B pointed out the whole dust up looks like Sark trying to be the center of attention and not Arch and his second pre-season Heisman while Joey has effectively moved the convo off of Sorsby. Both coaches did a good job changing narratives with these frivolous diversions. Well played gentlemen lol.
  15. I bet he doesn’t go 122 and come back two days later in the Austin heat
  16. Exactly. How can you respect a school that is fighting to get a QB reinstated who gambled on his own team he was currently playing with. He lost me there.
  17. I didn’t mind the little guy being around here, although strange. He just picked a weird hill to die on with this one.
  18. Today
  19. Loving Buckeye has been lovingly sent back to Columbus.
  20. Sark doesn’t schedule the games The Texas Longhorns play . Neither does Texas Tech head coach. This is all a carnival Texas Tech HC embarrassing the University.
  21. He doesn't need to be worried about them. Play them and then play Texas. That's like Texas playing Tech and then Ohio State.
  22. Absolutely not — unless I missed Indiana coming out and saying they support Sorsby’s return to college football after betting on his own team. That’s Tech’s issue, since they’re the ones footing the legal bills and publicly backing a QB who admitted to betting on his own games.
  23. the one thing about Texas that no other school in the SEC let alone really the country can say is that they have 21 watchable sports that compete at the utter most high championship level. The only sports that really aren’t as great at the moment are soccer, XC and track but I’m certain year over year there will be years that Texas can win Championships in those sports as well.
  24. Sark asked for this. I don't give a shxt who we're recruiting, but why on earth would we punch down like this??? Now Tech feels acknowledged and relevant. F-ing embarrassing.
