stephanie Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Playoff committee is a joke right now. BYU above TX is nonsense. Alabama’s not been playing great football for several weeks; hope they get dog walked. James Madison & Tulane, come on, what are we doing? Simply expanding to 16 isn’t the fix unless this other crap gets fixed as well. My .02. 6 1 Quote
Nathan Larson Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago CCG margin and play with loss should matter. Close loss shouldn't matter IE OSU and Indiana Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago They are telling you they only care about the W-L column. Sark better not lose to Ohio st in 2026. 5 Quote

chennups Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago i'm just glad ND didn't make it. i'm glad I was wrong about that. whoever said if DUke won, they could be left out--props to you! 3 Quote

Now there’s what 2 rematches ? Glad ND got left out. Boy oh boy I’d love to see Marcus freeman right now I'd like the committee to be able to change seeds to avoid rematches as much as possible. Swap Bama and Miami, Tulane and JMU. Punishes the 1st match loser. On the plus side, no ohio state/ Indiana rematch until the title game, though Indiana will probably face the Ducks after the NIL bowl if they beat Tech. And, maybe that's how ND was dropped (head to head Miami loss along with an Aggie matchup). Edited 5 hours ago by HookedOnTF Quote
dfwHorn Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Sort of happy there was chaos, will force everyone to rethink things… the system is definitely not setup correctly. 3 Quote
Sundancekid Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago We dog walked both Oklahoma and A&M… Alabama gets embarrassed by Oklahoma and Georgia… and is in with 3 losses. Texas is the most hated team in college football. We went from the most overhyped team in pre season to the most under rated(though slightly manic) team in the country. SOS… sending out an SOS! It should matter. I root for the little guys but having James Madison and Tulane in the playoffs is a joke. As money floods in the class of college football is eroding into the same poopoo the NFL has become. 1 2 Quote
Jc Dobbs Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This season's outcome by the committee is actually worse. Unlikely to see an upset by JMU and Tulane while TV ratings favorites/Blue Bloods like Texas and ND are sitting out. Never thought I would like the former final 4 or 8 better. Hell, even the old BCS system was more interesting. It's not basketball and thus the chances for "Cinderella" upset victories amount to zero. CFB CFP is FUBAR. 2 1 Quote

TonyG Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) They're basically treating JMU's schedule the same as Texas or Vandys SEC schedule. That's just wrong on so many levels. The system is essentially broken. Edited 4 hours ago by TonyG 1 Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I almost would have preferred to see ND over Bama. There is no world in which Bama deserved to be in over Texas. By almost any possible metric, Texas is the better and more deserving team. 2 Quote

And now we have to watch OU v Bama again. Ugh. 5 Quote

Ten of their 12 wins were against teams that didn’t have a winning record. Can’t make this up. ND, BYU, Texas, Vandy, Utah, Michigan, USC fans etc have to be shaking their heads. The committee successfully angered a ton of fans. 5 Quote
Oskies1279 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This schedule is wild to me. Just needed to vent a little more. Going to go drink my sorrows away...jk but it does suck. 2 Quote

BurntOrangeMD Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago A TOTAL JOKE! Texas should definitely be ranked ahead of byu, nobody dame, miami, and bama. Given the opportunity, Texas would have clobbered blo u and e atm e again. Playing jm and tulane are basically byes for organ and ole piss. IF the Texas Longhorns had been properly placed in the playoffs, they would have made it to the Peach Bowl OR possibly the Fiesta Bowl. I predict Georgia will beat Indiana, but most fans across the country will not care. The CFP selection committee is a JOKE, and EVERRRRRRRRYBODY knows it! Strength of schedule matters so much more than the rest of their 🐂 💩 criteria! Hook'em! 🤘🤠 🇨🇱 Quote
