SMH….fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Texas is teetering on complete malpractice. You add all these weapons and you don’t hit the real weakness of team to at least raise the floor of the unit.

We didn’t need all world to upgrade. This shouldn’t have been this hard to get a starting guard we can feel comfortable about. Hope is not answer.

Age has a different value in different sports, Pele won his first World Cup at 17 and Lamine Yamal won his first league title at 15.

This is something that has to be at the top of every schools list to fix.  These young men are being led to slaughter with lies.

Somebody needs to walk me through this “crisis” and explain it to me like I’m three.

Roster sizes haven’t shrunk,  they’ve stayed the same while scholarship limits have gone up. The portal should be one big game of musical chairs with enough roster spots for everyone once the music stop.

Who or how are all of these players getting displaced? Who are they being replaced by? D2 guys moving up?

I have a suspicion that the portal is filled with guys that either got cut or are out of eligibility anyways and wouldn’t be on rosters even in a pre-portal world.

Surely there are some that are currently overpricing themselves but they still have an opportunity to lower their demands and make a roster. Everyone who is viable will be on a roster. Where is the crisis?

Seems like a lot of schools are focusing their resources on the top of the roster and may look to fill out the depth with players who will have to accept playing for “just” a scholarship.

So nobody who can play ball is getting left out. They might not be in a perfect situation nor make as much as they’d like but that’s different than the crisis mongers stating thousands of players are essentially homeless and wouldn’t be in a pre-portal world.

I mean, Jerry West did tell Shaq that Kobe Bryant was already better than him when Kobe was 17 in July 1996.
