JMarquette Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I get the signing for depth purposes, but this tells me they don’t have a 7-deep 1 1 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted March 31 Moderators Posted March 31 This is a depth take. He can play tackle or guard. Played in 11 games at SMU last season. Originally signed with Arkansas in the 2023 cycle. 20 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Can confirm this report! He played 11 games this past year and can play either tackle or guard. Important depth piece for Kyle Flood. 22 Quote

HookemChappy Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Why would we not take him? All the people chattering about the early portal and Flood not taking enough OL. Now we take one and people still complaining. 24 3 2 1 Quote

Assistant Regional Manager Posted March 31 Posted March 31 7 minutes ago, JMarquette said: I get the signing for depth purposes, but this tells me they don’t have a 7-deep They aren’t signing a dude who played on the FG team at SMU to come compete to be the first or second dude off the bench at Texas. He is another warm body who will allow the second and third teams to scrimmage in the fall and get some work on scout team. Kind of like Velton Gardner a few years ago. You are reading way too much into this. 10 1 Quote

WRNC Posted March 31 Posted March 31 The Aggies were a major factor in his transfer portal recruitment as they looked to bolster their own interior line depth......... so 2 Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted March 31 Moderators Posted March 31 Honestly, this move probably says more about the severity of Kaden Scherer's injury than anything. 2 1 Quote

Given this signing and news about Sikorski and Christian getting 1st team snaps at G, is there any news on how Chatman is looking this spring? I really liked him as a recruit and he has looked solid in limited snaps but has had bad injury luck. I hope he is healthy and having a good spring. 1 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted April 1 Moderators Posted April 1 I don't think Texas is going to be done adding these late flyers out of the portal very similar to Patterson. The 105 allows them to basically buy up penny stocks at this point in the calendar and see if one grows into something of value. 2 Quote
