I'm thinking it's a better of 2 evils thing. I think if they talk about it openly, it doesn't reflect on well on the school because of the possible actions they did or did not do pertaining to those players during the season. So they'd just rather people speculate and think they are leaving because of playing time or NIL etc.

Yes and No, if I’m at another school and I want those players to jump in the portal I’m going to get that information leaked to the media. That’s just the world we live in now days.

Well you're assuming that the players would share facts that potentially make them look bad and undesirable to schools. Like I said, I think both the school/coaches and players have probably decided or agreed to not talk about it and just move on. In the end, what's done is done and I'm more interested in who we're replacing them with. Lots of good choices out there.

This stuff goes with the sport. If you consume the sport, you must take it as part of the investment.

The best way I have found to follow Texas sports is to not get in love with any one player.  In the age of pay to play your roster is going to be 50-75% new each year.  The top few will be getting most of the money and the bottom 2/3 think they should be getting paid like the top group and it’s just not going to happen.  It can’t happen.  There’s only so many dollars to go around and you are definitely going to keep your best players.

It seems the key here is that locker room dynamics have more to do with this than NIL. The money in WCBB is nothing compared to football or MCBB.

It definitely caught all the LSU people who follow women's basketball around here by surprise. They went from gushing about Caroline Bradley to being like "WTF??!?!"

It was rumored Breya might portal. Well, she needs to get sent packing now.

She’s telling girls not to transfer to Texas, specifically Jada Williams, who turned down a substantial offer because of Breya.

Skim Milkey put it out on her Discord this morning. She said “Jada Williams got a huge offer from Texas. Told them no after the exodus” and further explained the Breya connection. I asked around and was told Breya told her not to come.

It does seem odd that she would do that before entering the portal. That is real shittie.

I think the players don't say much, but the "agents" do. Mulkey is as untrustworthy as Pinocchio. She hates Texas. Always has because we're Texas! I have gotten over the shock of losing Justice Carlton who was the one transfer I hated to see go. Vic just needs to sign three portal players and we will be fine.

Serious question: how do you know Skim hates Texas? I ask because I am new to her discord but starting to get that vibe. I have an issue with the way she presents Texas info, but I thought it was just a me problem.

Skeletor hates Texas because she was not offered the head coaching job when Vic got it. When she was at Baylor we thrashed her for her hypocrisy during the rape scandal. Her attitude has always been negative while playing against us. She is known to be highly critical of Coach Vic.

I think the poster said Kim (Mulkey) hates Texas, not Skim (Milkey) ... but could have read it wrong
