Media effort to get Royal to flip

I’ve never seen such a concerted national media push to get Easton Royal to flip schools. I get LSU media pressuring him with constant propaganda about flipping to farm subs and clicks but what I’ve seen from Rivals, 247, CBS and other pushing a kid to flip is beyond ridiculous. Texas should start blocking media coverage on outlets that are pushing for a recruit to flip away from Texas in order to garner engagement.

i mean a wr really isn’t worth this much drama.   let him go and see how he develops at LSU.   every week it’s drama about this guy.  grab 2 wr in the portal every year it will be fine

He didn’t start the drama the media did for attention and clicks.

This goes pretty much for any position not named Edge, MLB, LT, or QB. Players like Worthy don't come around as often as people think. Odds are you can find a polished 3rd year guy looking to play under the bright lights in a friendly system. Then again I'm not big on recruiting, you get who you get and you don't throw a fit🤷🏿 Like it or not college football rosters are becoming more like NFL. With Bishop on campus and in the program, if this becomes an NIL thing you let him go. However, of it just that the young man wants to play in The Boot, you were never going to hold onto him anyway.

A 215 lb, 5-star WR that runs sub 10.2 is worth every possible effort you can make. Regardless of what the end result is you do whatever you can to keep him.

Sark likes drama though. He likes when Texas name is in people’s mouth.

LSU is going to have a deep WR/ATH class (4 WR commits already) but hopefully it won't include Royal. LSU QB room is not as good as the TX QB room imo.

 

Sark wants Royal as much as any TX WR target ever imo. We are going to be recruiting Royal through the whistle.

Believe our superior QB room, pro WR route tree, friendly WR offense and proven WR speed development is very attractive to Royal.  Our offensive coaches can win out. Some chance Sales helps us. TX NIL should be what it needs to be in the end.

Can you imagine? QBs Lacy and Bell, Bishop in the slot, Royal and Sales/Lockett on the outside. 5* Cooper and 5* LWC at RB. Townsend, Winston and BWilliams at TE. Swanson and Camara on the OL. Go add a top proven portal OL to fill in a gap. 

On paper, nobody would be more dangerous than that Texas offense imo.

I don’t agree with you, but I especially don’t agree that he likes the drama of his WR1 flirting with another school and being coy about his final decision.
