Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 1 hour ago Author Moderators Posted 1 hour ago I added to the original post with some scenarios about what Texas could do as long as Goosby is out. With that said, I'm with @Gerry Hamilton — I want to keep Brandon Baker at left guard if at all possible. 8 Quote

Shuffling around positions shortly before the season could hurt the progress. 3 Quote

If Siani moves to the left side, my guess would be Newman or possibly Cojoe. There’s a case to be made for plugging Coleman in at left tackle and keeping everything else the same. 9 Quote

But I’m also a idiot and don’t know much 5 Quote

alrightalrightalright Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’d do the same. Plug in Coleman on the left. Maintain continuity as much as possible. Thanks OTF staff for keeping us informed. Crazy morning. 2 Quote
drag worm Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago It feels like it makes the most sense to keep everyone else in the same roles they’ll be in when he gets back healthy, and use Cojoe or someone at left tackle in the meantime. Ohio State is five full weeks away. Unless he’s expected to miss the Ohio State game. Quote

Jonas Peterson Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago I don't know sh!t, but isn't LT more important than RT? If so, move Siani to LT, the position he's played until he joined Texas, and figure something out at RT while Goosby is out. Quote

Bunk Moreland Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago But I thought the season was over? Isn’t that what 50% of this board was saying just an hour ago? The pee-pants brigade never stops showing its stripes. 1 Quote

I’ll be surprised if he does not move to LT while Goosby is out. I think the real question is what RG/RT combo is best. I hope they keep Baker at RG and would like to see Newman at RT, but I’m not sure which combo is best. We’ll see. Quote

Let’s see what he’s got so we keep as much continuity as possible everywhere else. Thanks Jeff. Quote
f1revo Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago Hopefully they keep the line the same and just insert Coleman at LT. Time to sink or swim. Unless he's regularly getting Arch killed in pass pro, should be a more than good enough lineup to handle game 1 and give Goosby time to heal. Quote

If he were out for the year moving Siani over would probably be our best bet but if he’s only out for a few weeks, I’d focus on maintaining continuity in the scheme. 1 Quote

Does he sit out week one to develop depth and get him into action against Ohio State? 4-6 weeks depending on the location. If he had to play he could. But if he doesn’t have to then let it recover. Bone is consistently unpredictable and the decision is typically pain based. It could still show on MRI for months. I think they will play it safe for week 1. But expect him back week 2. Quote
