As a backup, yes. But I don’t think the staff planned on him playing significant snaps over an extended period of time.

Hard to keep up with all the NCAA eligibility requirements. But I assume Ty has to take classes somewhere this fall  to stay on track to be eligible for the 27 football season. . But can't portal until Jan?  Just wondered since this is a unique case it seems. Doubt he will attend class at UT of course, and the scholarship being  gone etc.

Sure if somebody wants him they always find a way it seems lol. I mean to get him at their school to be ready for  27 offseason. And no I don't think a judge can help him play in 26 haha. But guess I should never say never !

For me: This is very simple. New DC. One that Coaches hard. One that has high expectations and gives direct feedback. A DC that knows what it takes to Win at the Highest Level. Smith couldn’t respond. Smith couldn’t answer the bell. When the DC said based on Coaching the call / Coaching the situation and go sit down to think about it, the student broke. The student came back the next day but couldn’t over come the expectations.  The student couldn’t overcome the adversity and challenges. As a result, I’m hitting The Portal. For me: This is the best news I have heard today because I don’t want to go back to 2010 to 2013 of entitlements and complacency. The idea if I show up then it’s mine and I’m a Winnner. Next man up. Let’s Roll! We are off to The Bank of National Championships with a Can Do Attitude and One That I Will Earn It! Giddy Up!!! Have a Nice Day! In the scheme of things , not a Big Deal. I trust Sark and Muschamps.

Man, it seems like we've been snakebite at LB for the last few years with the exception of Ant. Whether it recruiting, injuries, etc. Hoping Muschamp can get that position turned around for the better.

Sometimes a new DC needs to cull the herd to make it stronger.  If TyAnthony wasnt on board with Coach Boom—he had to go.  Simple as that.

Looking at the depth chart, after this year we have 4  seniors graduating and 4 freshmen/sophomores.  We only have 1 LB committed. We need to get 2-3 more signed.
