OU is about to destroy Michigan but am I overreacting….

I think that's fair to say. Michigan was horrific and the quarterback was even worse.

Interesting stat further down that post under heading of Lots of Good Teams Can't Run the Ball:

"The first eight carries for No. 1 Ohio State's Bo Jackson against Ball State netted 18 yards with a 12.5% success rate until he finally broke free for a 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter."

I’m calling it right now- that OU Michigan game is going to be a lot closer than people are anticipating.

WMU team was really tough. Very well coached team. Bad team to play week one. Just look at what Wisconsin did to Notre Dame in the first half. Literally outplayed them. WMU is a better team than Wisconsin (if not on par).

With the near loss and emotional win for Michigan, that gives them both a wake up call and a shot in the arm. Michigan’s defects were exposed. That’s good maybe for OU, but it’s also good and maybe better for Michigan. They’re gonna have a great week of practice.

OU might very well beat Michigan, but it’s not going to be a dominant affair. I’m calling a single digit win, maybe even a loss with some heroics by Underwood.

My gauge right now is that Michigan is a fringe Top25 team (8-4) and OU is a good not great team (9-10 wins). If OU does dominate, they’ll earn more respect in my eyes. But their performance so far and the eye test imo shows good not great

I have no clue about Arizona States roster talent but I can’t help but think they’ve got a real shot this weekend after seeing how a&m performed against Missouri State

Honestly even if it’s closer than the public thinks, I think the 6 (and moving) spread is an easy OU bet.

OU will be playing this weekend without Fodje, maybe Maikkula and maybe Fasusi. Three starting OLs with significant injuries. They’ve been poopooing Fasusi’s shoulder injury all camp and then he had to be pulled against UTEP because he was ineffective due to the pain. The other two guys both have knee injuries. OU always talks up their health heading into a game and then multiple guys are out, strangely.

Okoye has an oblique injury and will also be out, leaving them playing either the 5 star bust or a true Freshman against the Michigan tackles.

OU has OL and running game issues. People are overreacting to Michigan’s outlook due to a bad game against a good G6 team.

Michigan had 9 penalties for 80 yards and 3 turnovers.  I think Kyle is a good coach and will do what he can to help them fix things.  Their QB had a terrible game.  If they can't establish the run, I'm not sure they do better than 7-5 or 6-6 this year.  You make a good point about the injuries.  Michigan has a good defense, but so does OU. I could see more turnovers for UM against OU being the deciding factor, and think both teams will struggle to run the ball against each other (with the OU OL injuries you mention).

I still think it's double-digit win for OU.

Yeah, as much as I hate OU, Michigan looked beyond awful.
