Why does Simmons lock up on people and then just acts like there's no play going on? If he can't get around someone he just locks onto them and completely loses any sense of what's going on around him

I predicted a 38-23 loss but this roster is further away than I thought. Just sobering. I knew LBer and secondary were weak but they're worse than expected. DL got worked too much too. Just weak. Smothers is the only playmaker on offense. It's just bad.
