Texas needed a win over Ohio State. Nothing else matters. If this team can't handle writers voting them No. 1 in September, then they don't deserve to play for the title in December and January.

This doesn’t move me the way it did in 2024 when we got our first #1 ranking in 18 years. Too much ball left and all that matters right now is getting to the playoffs. This team will be battle tested for sure.

Yeah, not that we weren't gonna get everyone's best shot already this year, but the hunger is going to be ravenous, especially in road games.

All fair points, but we haven’t been too dog since 2005 and we have yet to beat them since 2022 and until we do I still say they should be ranked higher than us. Not to mention they were already ranked above us prior to this improbable win.
