Lavalulu Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Maybe now Texas will begin to play like they have nothing to lose instead of playing conservative football trying their best to “prevent” a loss. Quote
AusMOJO Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago This was about as tough a loss as I can remember. Because OU was inferior, like not even in our league. Yet we let them hang around instead of going for the throat. Something Sark lacks. You gifted them points and still they hung around. I don't put any of this on the D, they dominated this game and basically gift wrapped a Texas win. Only for the O and special teams to pee all over it. There was several penalties on D that sucked but some of them were so egregious I just can't with it. The refs seemed determined to call anything on that drive to keep OU in the game. This has been a problem all year but no one wanted to hear it because "well a win is a win" and now it's a loss, to your rival who absolute sucks. 2 Quote

Defense is not the problem go back and watch the short field the scored on PK against Ohio State gave up 21 in the playoff game in '24, where the offense fumbled the game away with a chance to tie it. Last year on the road, held them to 14 points (7 if Guillbeau turned his head and made a play on the ball). PK certainly had his issues, I don't deny that. But he 100% got scapegoated by Sark. As it turns out, Sark was full of it. 3 Quote
AusMOJO Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago One thing I'm surprised about is the lack of turnovers by Muschamp's D. They would've had a couple today if not for some untimely errors. Considering how turnover prone Mateer was. Also thought they would sack him more with how bad their OL is. 1 Quote

The Florida and Georgia losses last season came after byes. What the heck is happening on the Forty Acres during the bye week? Apparently take it easy and do nothing. Because they look like they just got off vacation after every bye week. 1 Quote
TexasFight12 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) After sleeping on it, the season isn’t over. In fact, Texas can still lose one more game and make the Playoffs. Sark has to get Arch’s legs more involved. That’s the key to success 🤘 Edited 8 hours ago by TexasFight12 Quote
kren Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I actually thought Arch saw the field decently (from my seat). Made some good throws. The pick 6 was horribly inaccurate to a wide open Cam Coleman. The second INT I got nothing for ya though. I’m much more frustrated now about the penalties and special teams pissing away these games 1 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 8 hours ago Moderators Posted 8 hours ago I legitimately don’t understand why Texas defense is coming up in the OU loss discussion. Texas defense is the only phase that is playing/showing championship caliber performance. It’s damn hard to lose a game when a defense holds an opponent to 238 yards and 2-13 on third downs. Texas offense and special teams are the reason there is a loss in the column. Period. 8 Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I’m still waiting on somebody to show me a successful QB sark put in the league that amounted to anything in the league. The stats don’t lie. From 2021-2026, the offense has gotten statistically worse. Sark ruined Quinn and he has absolutely FAILED to develop arch. Arch will not be going to the league after this season, but I’m not sure he will be at Texas next season either. Sark has already hit his ceiling. You can’t convince me otherwise. And please spare me the “two final fours” to defend him when one of those playoff appearances was given to Texas bc Florida st got hosed. Quote

If not for the big 40 yard run OU would've had under 200 total yards. I think the D still has things to improve but they've once again carried this team and are 100% not the reason we lost. Quote
texcoyote15 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Do you all think Sark can get this offense playing at a high enough level to make a run this year? Fix special teams this year? Are what we’ve seen is it? What percentage do you give that he can do it? Quote

Stop blaming Sark for getting UT out of laughing stock 10+ yrs of misery… then blaming him for play calling. Guys are open. Period. He can’t throw it. There are sevaeral QBs that elevate when the game begins. Arch panics every other series. Time to accept a waste of 40 mill roster cause your QB is mid….. hope he goes pro for UTs sake I completely agree that Sark has brought us out of the 10 years of misery. However, there is a paralysis by analysis happening at the QB position. Sark adjusted to the quick passing game with Quinn and started to limit the deep looks. How many times has Arch had over 3 seconds to throw and just bounces patting the ball?? It’s obvious Manning has been told not to run as much going forward and that has been practiced. He is coached to go through reads. Has anyone ever thought the people we see open is third or fourth in his read progression?? Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is the definition of insanity. It’s time for Sark to adjust his play calls and do what his players excel at. Leading the SEC in three and outs is unacceptable with the money spent on this offense. Allowing a touchdown on special teams in both conference games is unacceptable. Everyone said if the offense and special teams don’t improve we will lose. Now we have lost to one of the worst teams in the SEC. The offense has averaged less points per game each year the last 4 years. Let that sink in. Sark said it was due helping PK on defense. Well, PK is gone. Whatever he did for Arch to actually show improvement the last half of 2025 Sark needs to go to it immediately 1 Quote

Yes, Sark can get the offense to a level of play that, when paired with the caliber of defense Texas has, can allow you to go on a run. Whether he'll do those things is a different matter. Jermaine Bishop and Derrek Cooper need more touches. He's either got to use Arch's legs as a weapon and/or put things on the call sheet that can help Arch play from the pocket. He's got to figure out the run game concepts that work or that his personnel can execute and stick to those. It can happen. I'm just not confident that it will, because we've basically seen the same offense since the second quarter of the UTSA game. Special teams can be fixed either through scheme changes or personnel. Again, it looked worse after the bye week, so I'm not confident that they'll get it right in the kicking game. 1 Quote
