Jamieson Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago At the end of the day Sark you’re the leader. You have got to accept responsibility for this loss all of it. You had a bye to prepare. We have a lot of Lamborghini and rolls Royce players but the offense is running like a minivan. You need a guy up in the booth calling plays his vantage point is so much better. This about the team not about egos. Prideful coaches destroy programs example Dabo Swiney. 1 Quote

LonghornLegends Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago Texas may only win 6-7 games this year with how bad this offense is. If you can scored 24+ on Texas they’re in serious trouble and Arch is now a liability. Quote

This is as bad as the Kansas loss to me absolutely pathetic and sark legit said he won’t give up play calling and won’t fire banks. This was the year for sark to get it right and he failed at it. Hope CDC and the brass tell him to hire a OC and give up play calling and if he doesn’t give it up see ya later sark this is all on sark and he refuses to change Mr adapt or die and yet sark won’t adapt we have a championship level defense and our special team and offense is absolutely pathetic Just curious did you watch Strong or Herman? 1 Quote

Palmer was all pro in 2015 and made 3 pro bowls when that actually meant something. And Sark coached Young in 2020 before he left for Texas. I’m as pissed at Sark right now as it gets but he does have some skins on the wall for QBs.. He just sucks now 1 Quote
LonghornFan4Ever Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago When Colin Simmons strip sacked John Mateer and wasn’t able to secure that fumble, I got 2025 Florida game vibes immediately. The defense, as good as they have been, still has trouble getting takeaways. That was the play that upset me the most in this game, even though there were worse moments than that from this team as the game progressed. 1 Quote

The Oregon losers had six turnovers against UCLA. I was glad that Sark shut CJ down with one word. Who does CJ think he is? Being a "member" of the "media" doesn't give you the freedom to be hyperbolically stupid. Banks has been crap for two years. Sark shouldn't throw him under the bus in an emotional postgame press conference. 1 Quote

It's not a question you ask him in that setting. It's stupid. Every fan thinks they know offensive play calling. There was nothing wrong in total with the play calls. Arch screwed up and gave the criminals ten points. 1 Quote

Texbam Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago Well said Gerry. I might go easier on Sark for the offense’s performance if there was an OC to blame. But that’s him and he’s supposedly an offensive guru. I was a proponent of Sark being hired based on his offensive prowess. That’s not what I’m seeing here. For the last couple seasons, it’s erratic and disjointed offensive production. There’s no rhythm or identity. And after six years, we STILL have an underwhelming offensive line. How long do we have to wait to have 5 competent linemen? And our special teams have only regressed from Banks’ initial years. We keep watching the same stumbling performances. I like Arch as an athlete, but he’s just mediocre as a QB on the college level. He’s not progressing…stares down receivers, doesn’t throw with anticipation, slow processing and vision, doesn’t adjust to defensive looks…etc. I mean, considering his family pedigree, if anyone should be groomed and progressing in the position it should be him. But the stark fact is, he’s not. And Sark won’t bench him due to Sark’s loathing of adverse actions on his QBs due to his past as a QB himself. I swear Arch looks less confident every game. Today his wheels came completely off in the 4th quarter. It’s a stretch if the current version of this team can even make the CFP. I’m not wanting a HC change…that’s silly at this point and a reason we wandered in the wilderness over 10 years. But we’ve got glaring problems that don’t seem easy to to fix. Sark will not give up play calling…and probably won’t take action (post season) on Banks or Flood. Seems we are stuck with mediocrity at best. Quote
Shmatt Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago I love how the excitement for this season has completely tanked these past 3 weeks, for me is more cautious optimism. We only had one good offensive performance and that’s been in week 1. UTSA should have been a sign that there will be some massive regression from the offense this year Quote
Atxdubstep Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago Yes arch made some mistakes. I have seen more play calling mistakes than I've seen arch make. If you can't run the ball consistently it makes everything harder. Is Arch calling the wrong run plays? Running behind your guard 99.9% of the time while pulling your other guard or takle around isn't working. You have to try stretch run, toss plays, or misdirection here and there Quote

There are few feelings in sports worse than feeling like you gave a game away. 2. Going into the game, Texas was the favorite for a reason. It was said all week the only way Oklahoma would win this game is if Texas helped them/gave them momentum. Well, Texas did it. And the team got the loss they deserved. A punt blocked for a TD after a bye week following a horrible special teams performance. You deserve to lose. A late throw pick six INT by a fourth year quarterback that doesn’t seem to be able to process in play when and why to throw a ball away. You deserve to lose. Two INT’s in fourth quarter. You deserve to lose. 3. I will give Oklahoma credit for winning the third quarter physically. They earned the 3rd quarter. 4. Texas defense is playing championship caliber football. The Texas offense and special teams is showing the possibility of pissing away a very good defensive team. Texas gave up 238 yards, and lost today. Oklahoma was 2-13 on 3rd downs, and Texas lost. That’s bad and rare, period. 5. Going into this game, the team that rushed for the most yards was 23-1-1 in the last 25 games. Texas won the rushing battle, but lost the game. 122 to 83. OU had one run of 42, and zilch otherwise save a couple of effective runs for 6-8 yards. 6. Texas out gained OU 382 to 238. And lost. 7. There is so much more to talk about, but the reality is Texas gave Oklahoma the opportunity to win the game. And when you do that, a loss is deserved. 8. Texas is a poor offensive football team. There is seemingly a refusal or will to win with physicality. It’s too hit or miss, and too clunky far too often in year six. And Arch makes way too many head scratcher plays with over 20 starts. —— Texas at 4-1, now has one game margin for error. With no bye week remaining and seven straight SEC games to follow, Texas is a ways away from being a contender for anything meaningful offensively. The offense will look like they are getting well or improving with lesser defensive teams coming in the schedule, but it may be the eyes fooling more than Texas making strides. I need a corn dog meme to properly recognize this accurate depiction of what was. No glazing Texas lost and shouldn’t have. Will see what happens next Quote

How many illegal formations on punt? Sark: why do we not get more Cooper and Bishop? Royal is watching buddy. Arch Manning: Elite 15% of the time and very below average and looks lost the other 85% of the time. Are we gonna stick with this all year? And his seat should not be guaranteed next year if he wants to come back. If his name was Arch Ewers we all know he’d be kicked to the curb just like Quinn was. Unreal. Sark’s Muschamp hire was the right move, but she shortened his own leash, drastically, what’s the next excuse Sark? The Hell with Royal! Tired of constantly paying big money for 5 star WRs while our get em cheap offensive line gets dominated by every decent defense they play Quote
