Trade that pick for Giannis or KD

As much as I love KD as a Texas fan I wouldn’t want him on the Spurs as a Spurs fan.

Pretty sure the Suns would gladly offer KD for Cooper Flagg

Copper Flagg wouldn’t go. They have no draft pics because of previous trades and have a high player salary roster. They would have to blow it all up and start over.

Wow! How will Nico screw this up?

trade the pick to LA for Luka.

Both Dallas stars are over thirty. One is always injured and the other will be recovering from an ACL injury. Can Cooper develop fast enough for the Mavs to win? What’s left when Davis and Irving start to decline?

Giannis yes ,KD no. Wouldn’t recommend building a team KD as the main guys based on history

Mavs fans are the Aggies of the NBA. They're so wrapped up and warped within some alternate cognitive field that they have no clue. Again, I blame this on Cuban for brainwashing them for twenty years.

Eh the Mavs actually won something this century.  That 2011 playoff run was one for the ages.  Aggies had one amazing year with Johnny Football and think they're college football royalty.

Dallas currently has a roster of

Davis

Kyrie (January)

Flagg

Klay

PJ

Lively

Gafford

Cristie

as a core… there is not a better Forward / Center team in the league. Not even close.

I think you have some decisions to make with Gafford, PJ, and Klay (Or Cristie). You can get a legit Guard with that. If not more

My bet is they trade Gafford and Klay and a first for another Combo Guard. I bet the Mavs retain Kai Jones

Hopefully, they don’t screw this up.   It’s a gift that we have an opportunity to build a dynasty with a few key moves to strengthen back court.

Watched an interview with Ryan Day talk about the "myth" of The Natural. Therein he claimed that players don't "rise" to the occasion; rather they sink to the floor of their training when they're in the most stressful moments. He said Reggie Jackson hit homers every day, not just in the World Series. If that was true, Reggie would have 162 homers a year. That's Mr. Third Base for you. That's the Mavs.

For evidence. Kobe didn't average 38 a game in 2001. He averaged 38 a game against the Spurs (who were supposed to be the best defensive team in the league that year) in the regular season and playoffs in 2001. That what the Mavs ain't got.

Since 2006 the Mavs have gone to three NBA finals and won 1. Nothing Aggy has done comes anywhere close to that.

I guess the Mavs are top notch. I mean we got Lakers, Warriors, Celtics, Spurs, Heat, Kobe, Steph, LeBrick, KD, Tatum and Jokic. I mean, Dirk ain't even pansy Jokic. Stop blowing smoke. Aggy gonna claim Manziel. He was more important than anything Mavs did. Furthermore, fat boy Luka gonna be the downfall of this Lakers team. This is Luka compared to NBA greats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZt7J0iaUD0
