And people were COMPLAINING all summer '24 about losing certain recruits 🙄 and Texas ended up with the no. 1 class in the nation. Either you trust Sark approach or not.

I trust Sark, but you can't say this isn't a gut punch right now

Very true. Also considering our roster at the position it seemed like 2 RB class wasn't going to work regardless especially with the board of RBs we had in 2026 class.

I don't think it's the worst cycle to only take 1, I think you make a good point there.

But it's a pretty good RB year in the state, and we should have been able to throw a stone out the window and hit one.

Not too worried about it, just will require some extra work.

Everyone is so quick to forget that Arch is gonna lead us to the promised land in these next two seasons and we have loads of future draft picks on our roster. Results on the field and sarks approach to offering the best NIL offer in December will take care of itself

Gerry, does this concern you at all considering the loaded crop of running backs in this years cycle, and that tamu already has a top rb in the state committed? Can yall speak maybe to what yall think our new rb coaches philosophy is on this stuff and if yall think there should be cause for concern at this point?

Safe to assume Scott isn’t a Tashard Choice, woof. Scott is working with a much better product to sell given the back to back playoffs and Choice was trying to convince players to come play for a 5-7 team.

Whatever. Trust me, Texas will land haymakers soon enough. I've watched 👀 recruiting for too long to get upset about recruiting. Sark is VERY prepared to answer and aggy 🙄 😒 is going to have a fight holding on.

People are still trying to blame position coaches (Scott) in very obvious bag dropping moments.  Thought we knew better

It's like praising Kenny Baker as the reason Justus Terry chose Texas.

It's okay to acknowledge outside influence$ impact recruitments more than ever before, both for and against Texas.

This year we seem to be missing out on all the elite running backs.  Last year it was the elite defensive linemen.  The year before that it was wide receivers and the year before that it was offensive linemen.  Trying to stack top five classes is not cheap or easy.  Hopefully Texas will have a good season on the field, and match or beat some of these other programs for some of these elite guys.

This is what our class looked like at this time last year:

KJ Lacey

Lance Jackson

Elijah Barnes

James Simon

Coleman triplets

Emaree Winston

End of list.

Not sure how you can say they are slow playing guys when they sit with 2x the commitments they had at this time a year ago.

This ain’t last year.

Keep for 2 years then they transfer out when they realize how weird it is to have all male cheerleaders. We’ve seen this before and recently.
