Sounds like a guy who will be watching from his back while Richard Wesley suplexes A&M's JAG transfer QB du jour in 2027. 1 Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I had to search for Aaron Thomas. Roseborough is going to be very lonely on that Lilliputian OL. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿 Quote
Hookem72 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Academics matter to Turntine which is why Stanford may be the real sleeper here. He wants to be a brain surgeon. I can totally see that guy going to Stanford because of that. We are no slouch when it comes to academics, but I guarantee you that is why Aggy is out. this is something that matters for Simeon too. I bet we get him off of McCombs. #1 business school in the Country. hook em! 1 Quote

Mike Cronin is still recovering from his jetlag! Hopefully someone hits home Dell Medical vs a legacy med school. P.s. THI right now in Austin:92, Ann Arbor 91, The Bubble 72. But take a peek Nov-Feb! 1 Quote

Hookem72 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago No body goes to med school while playing D1 football. You get a prestigious undergrad degree to get into a better med school. Stanford UT and Michigan are all prestigious. A&M is good, but not on the same level. Quote

There is absolutely no way that I would recommend anyone who is from Texas, to go to medical school in California. Here's a few reasons why: To begin with, the cost of the out of state medical education would be double to triple, compared to Texas. Once football is over, you are on your own financially. Then, you are pretty much stuck there, because your residency would most likely be in California. California has lower average physician salaries, especially when adjusted for their higher cost of living, and the ridiculous higher taxes that you would pay. Then you will find out that your malpractice premiums and payouts will significantly impact your income, because your insurance cost will be a lot higher. Cali has a high percentage of uninsured residents, which will negatively impact your medical environment, which has led to higher burnout rates. California has become a third world 💩 🕳️. Type the following into Google: Why is California so bad to practice medicine? Edited 8 hours ago by BurntOrangeMD 1 1 Quote

If you go to Stanford you can get into Columbia Medical School, Harvard Medical School, Vandy, Carnegie-Mellon etc a lot easier than going to UT, Michigan or A&M if that is what your goal is. Stanford is one of the best academic institutions in the world. Michigan and UT are public Ivy’s. If the kid values a long term academic oriented career over football, he will probably go to Stanford. If he is unsure he will make it to the NFL but thinks he ma have a shot he may end up going to UT or Michigan. If he doesn’t care about academics and wants a bag, he may choose Aggy, but he didn’t so I tend to believe he cares about long term academic prestige. Or his family does. Quote

MJW2327 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He would not being to medical school at Texas for this scenario, he would be doing the premed undergrad courses in the school of natural sciences and majoring in something like biology given that Texas does not have a premed designated major. Medical school is done after you take the prerequisites to take the MCAT and get your science hours. FYI you don’t have to graduate college to get into med school, people bypass that all the time (intellectual freaks). Sure he could go to a med school at / in Texas later on but Stanford does have an undergrad med school route that places you into their medical school after undergrad Quote
