Go play your "nanny nanny boo boo, I'm a better fan than you!" card with someone else or maybe just dump it from your repertoire. It's a lousy forum trope in the first place. Assistant Regional Manager Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 43 minutes ago, Bunk Moreland said: I completely agree with this. I can’t believe Sark allowed it to come to this. Flood’s recruiting and development since that 2022 class have simply not been good enough. Can we, like, I don't know....see a game played first? He is one of the best OL coaches in the country, was employed by Nick Saban for multiple years, coached in the NFL, is putting guys in the NFL at a rate we haven't seen in almost 2 decades and is recruiting fine. He messed up by not adding another tackle body in the 2023 or 2024 classes. He ain't perfect and for all we know, that choice was made above his pay grade. OL is the hardest position for services to evaluate and rank (hi, 3-star Trevor Goosby and Cam Williams, meet 4-star Payton Kirkland) and is also on the longest developmental timeline. This isn't even a 'trust the coaches' post. It's just stupid to see the results he has had after wandering through the O-Line desert for almost 15 years and saying stuff like the development "simply has not been good enough" on August 18th, coming off a season where they were runner-up for the Joe Moore Award. 3 Quote

That’s totally fair. I would be happy to eat my words. But Sark himself said that he was more concerned about OL depth than anything else on his roster. You’d think that wouldn’t be an issue in the portal era. But, hey, I hope they go out and assuage all my doubts. Quote

Pretty sure he figured you'd only be jumping from a bed or couch, onto a pillow or other soft landing spot. Worse case maybe an ankle sprain. No need to go all drama queen on us ... if he tells you "go kill yourself" then you'd have a point. That would be mean. 2 Quote
Here for the Wins Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago And if you lose a swing T, there’s a damn good chance the next man up is a first or second year guy (meaning 3rd team guy to 4th T). Or a dude you never expect to see the field. Quote

Nobody better at trying to back track lies while still claiming superiority over all. That’s why it’s ironic when you write a paragraph claiming you are better than everyone on this site and then follow that up with “drop that from your repertoire” Like I said, you have no clue. You've now called me a liar and fraud, however, without anything to support that. I don't get the personal attacks since I don't recall ever encountering your handle, but that kind of crap is more spineless forum behavior, for which you appear to excel. 13 minutes ago, ArizonaLonghorn said: Pretty sure he figured you'd only be jumping from a bed or couch, onto a pillow or other soft landing spot. I don't really care if he really wanted me to kill myself or not. The mere act of telling someone to do so, however soft or indirect, is pathetic nonetheless. Quote

Or a dude you never expect to see the field. Exactly. Last year we lost 2 RB’s in the first couple of days of fall practice and we were extremely thin at RB the entire season. This year Goosby has an injury of some sort and our swing tackle is lost for the season so we are down to our 4th and 5th options at OT until Goosby is healthy. And our starting RT saw limited action last season as a true freshman. Like CJ said we are manufacturing depth with our top OL. In case of emergency, BREAK GLASS. Quote

But IMO Flood has recruited too many projects and not enough elite prospects. It’s not all his fault—they clearly desperately wanted Fasusi last year, for instance. But the chickens have come home to roost a bit. As solid as OL recruiting has been under Sark, the difference between solid and elite very well could mean the difference between winning it all and not. Quote
pinkman_90 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Remember, the guy saying we’re all idiots while also calling out CJ is the one who brought us gold like this: “Banks and Sarkisian are basically trying to run the entire show when it comes to recruiting, to the point of limiting access for position coaches with their position targets. Sounds really ****** weird. Harris has provided consistently dated and/or clueless intel from the recruits’ camp side and is just basically an order taker otherwise. Texas lost a talented scout that they haven’t replaced and they lost a talented roster management/personnel guy that they arrogantly decided to not really replace by instead promoting an unqualified yes man. This predicament is entirely of Sarkisian’s making. He’s going to have to fix it soon as there is more bad news looming.” 1 Quote
