Kyle Vochoska Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Do we have any theories as to why Arch was under center a lot more than Quinn ever was? Quote
cdibbs Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Given how Klubnik specifically has looked this game (and game 1 last year FWIW) I think maybe we can cut Arch some slack and expect him to use the next 3 weeks to get back on track and take care of Florida to start conference play. 1 1 Quote
HookemTexas Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Lots of people are assuming Florida is an automatic win, it’s in the swamp and they’ll be ready for payback. Texas will need to make some big improvements to pull out a win, starting with Arch playing like he’s capable of. 1 1 Quote
TXFF Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Don't forget what Colt said this week...the team is going into the game relatively blind because they had no good film on the new OC and DC which Colt said was a huge OSU advantage compared to the abundance of film on our coordinators. Makes sense. Quote

Complain about whatever you want but going for it on 4th and 1 from the 1 foot line when an all a FG does is require you to score a TD later is dumb. Every other coach would have gone for it considering what Texas had shown offensively up to that point. Uh, no, 16-14…the TD wasn’t on 4th down. Edited 6 hours ago by Aspann85 1 Quote

Look at this throw (ignore the fact that endries would have walked in for a td) Endries could’ve easily had a 10+ catch for 100+ yds and 2 TDs as open as he was the whole game. It was crazy. If Arch ever figures out that guy is on our team, he’s gonna have a monster year! Quote
Hesity Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I thought Arch would be more successful on qb sneaks, but he didn’t seem to get any real push. Looked similar to Quinn. We’ll be fine. Quote

Pretending a FG was the right call when it is 4th and ONE FOOT and you are down 7-0 isn’t serious. It would be like getting a 11 in blackjack with the dealer showing a 16 and choosing to stand. 1 1 Quote

This. I had to shake my head when I saw Bobby and some others talk about the WRs not getting an open when they were running open all day and Arch was missing them. First play of the game, not only was Deandre Moore wide open but Jack Endries was wide open right behind Moore. Arch had two open options and threw it in the dirt. On 4th & 3 from the 9 where Arch tries to hit Livingstone on the slot fade, Wingo is open for a 1st down and potentially td on a slant but Arch was locked on Livingstone. And then there's Arch missing a wide open Wingo on the big 3rd & 5 on the last possession. Quote

There’s ample time to adjust yet he never does. Quote

Here for the Wins Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The 3rd and 5 on the last possession. It’s not a great throw, but Wingo’s reaction is delayed and odd. He leaves his feet. Quote
