This is a rebuilding year, we just didn’t know it until now.

Yes, we have a talented team with potential, and will get better, but we are not contenders this season. New leaders must emerge and players must further develop. Our line play has much to gain. We have some solid pieces to build on  for sure.  Arch Manning showed us something today.

Let’s recalibrate and improve in all phases. We will be much better as the year progresses.

It is what it is.

That’s not the way Georgia and Alabama operates. You don’t get to look this bad in the SEC.

With NIL and portal no excuse to not get OL and decent rb instead of our JAGS at those positions. Could name other positions but those 2 hurt us bad. Dallas Wilson is better than all our receivers right now. But hopefully lesson learned for next year. Evaluate better to start with.  8-4 is the ceiling and the floor well...😭

I’m struggling hard to find another 5 wins.

The schedule isn’t difficult, play some teams without talent. Vandy at home, at Mississippi State, at Kentucky, those are almost guaranteed wins. Sark struggles vs any team that has similar talent, those teams don’t. At Georgia is definitely a loss though, A&M likely a win at home but probably close. OU with a backup QB? Easily could win that.

I'm looking at the stats now, our "elite" D gave up 457 offensive yards to Florida, Baugh ran all over them, Lagway had almost 300 yards passing and we had...wait for it...ZERO sacks. Where is all that elite edge talent? Where is Moore, Spence, Hill, Simmons, Burke...anyone? Our interior DL who had played well, completely got manhandled by Florida.

By the way, we had 53 yards rushing....Wisner was 8 carries for 11 yards. Manning was 15 carries for 37 yards. Niblett 2 carries for 4 yards and Clark 1 carry for 0 yards. No run game and a passing game that only started getting anything going at the end of the game, when Florida knew they had things wrapped up.

There is so much wrong with this team right now and a lot of it has stemmed from recruiting fails the last several years.

Four if we're lucky. How can you fall this much in one offseason when you have just as much talent?

Miss St is not lacking in talent and Vandy is no pushover. Maybe UK. Maybe.

A team with as bad an OL as we have led by generally craptastic QB play is no cinch to roll just anybody.

The real pisser is that there’s a lot available in this offense with just serviceable QB play.

With this D and our O playing this way, we're not beating Vandy and Miss State is better this year than they were last year. They have one of the best RB's in the SEC and we just played Baugh who is also one of the best in the SEC and he had his way with us.

I'm not willing to say anything bad about other teams, when we looked this bad ourselves.

You couldn't give Gibson or Clark a carry? We just weren't ready to play. Bye week and laid the biggest egg in about six years.

This reminds me a lot of the 2010 season where we had a solid defense, a putrid offense, a much ballyhooed QB struggling mightily and a low game day IQ football team.

Couldn't have come at a worse time. Now I've got to rely on those $hitty Aggies and Bowl cut Kirby to end my suffering

Can't worry about he Aggies. Gotta worry about Vandy and Kentucky. It was over midway through the second quarter. Never thought our defense would simply suck. Simmons and Hill are puzzling to say the least.

Brother dont think you're paying attention to who is posting. Im a Florida fan. Was hoping Texas would embarrass my Gators today and end the suffering of having to watch a Billy Napier coached team. We got to A&M next. If we somehow stumble to a win in that game, I will have lost all respect for the state of Texas when it comes to football. The state of Florida is already a joke, and has been for 12 years.

Clark had a carry, for 0 yards. Gibson had zero carries, for whatever reason.

Can't agree here. This was championship or bust by many amd we had the #1 ranked QB too. This off-season we didn't get any studs at wide receiver for Arch, Wingo hasn't been great and the other receivers are average. Offensive line and defensive line are troubling. special teams looks inconsistent again. Coaching is not good, and sark has never been ranked among the elite coaches. Program builders sure but not flat out coaching. It's an obvious regression but if we are going to waste this season and waste Arch I think some coaches should be fired at the end of the season.

I missed the Clark carry.

Truth is, it was just bad all around. You play a team that can't function and make them look like they're a machine. Guys taking bad angles and diving to miss tackles. O-line that can't block a junior high team. This is the worst in a long time.

Yep, it is very bad. Not sure they can right the ship on this one. But I'll gladly admit I was wrong if they do. Very clear regression and I don't care that they lost guys to the NFL, so did every other top team. It's no excuse to be this bad.

Again, we weren't ready to play the damn game.

Before the season I thought 9-3 was the worst case scenario. I'm thinking it's 6-6 now. Hill and Simmons were literally no where to be found. Sark can't figure out how to use a bunch of four star RBs. Can't block. Apparently WRs can't get open very often. It's bizarre.

I'm honestly surprised by how average Hill and Simmons have been. If Hill keeps this up, he will be back next year. Not sure if he's hurt or what, but he has been a shadow of himself. Simmons was talking all that before the season and he's got 1.5 sacks and not done much in the run game...lol.

I just can't understand it tbh.

I think we will go 7-5, possibly being eternally optimistic. Anyway, Inam with a few on the portal and to what was a glaring need in the OL and hat went unaddressed. Really needed a couple of interior guys. Overall, for today , we had no fire in the belly. Do not know why as we knew this team with near equal talent was going to be playing all out. We acted like this was another bad Sam Houston.

What I understand is these guys aren't hungry. Paid too much too early.

Yeah, probably right. The downside of NIL?
