Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 10 hours ago Moderators Posted 10 hours ago We are now witnessing a 7’4” guard skills player that has to be defended by bigs (really skilled NBA bigs to be clear), and is the best rim protector in the world on the other end. What he did last night to Anthony Davis and Derek Lively was pure basketball insanity. 15 1 Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I’ll admit Im not too knowledgeable on basketball, so this guy is basically an uber athletic Yao Ming? Jesus he’s insane. 1 Quote
thatdude2 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Amen Thompson will win more championships than Wemby. I said what I said 🎤 1 1 Quote

Love it. Who knows on that ... Rockets aren't winning it this year unless they trade for a PG ... VanVleet injury was crushing If Wemby stays healthy with the young nucleus being built around him... he'll likely get 1-2. He's like nothing I've ever seen before, but that body isn't built for longevity either. 4 2 Quote

He is definitely a freak of nature but bet he has lots of injury issues because of the physics of a guy that moves like that in that long body. Quote

They say he spends as much time rehabilitating his body as he does practicing. His foot warmup is 45 minutes 2 Quote

The guy is very dialed in to maximizing his talent ... which is incredibly scary for opponents lol 7 Quote
Shmatt Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago As a spurs fan, I feel blessed. Now it’s been 5 years since we made the playoffs so if everyone stays healthy this should be the year. 3 Quote

NothinButDaHorns34 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago A complete freak, But that skinny frail body isn’t built to last. Dude didn’t even need to get off his feet to block that last shot of another seven footer before that step back three. Quote

rocks Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Born and raised in San Antonio... I haven't felt this type of excitement since the Timmy years. Just seeing what he did last night was mind blowing.. As a Spurs fan, I'm here for Wemby to take us fans to the promise land. 1 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 6 hours ago Moderators Posted 6 hours ago One of the most impressive single game performances I have ever watched. 3 Quote
Hookem72 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I wonder what Wilt Chamberlain would be like in today’s game. I think he may be the closest comp to Wemby ever, but be was shorter, and much stronger. Edited 4 hours ago by Hookem72 Added pic 2 Quote

If Sengun and Amen (I highly doubt Amen is gonna shoot that bad from 3 consistently) continue to play at that level throughout the season, it'll be very interesting to see how aggressive Rafael Stone and the Front Office is for the trade deadline/buyout deadline. 1 Quote

Pretty annoying as a Rockets fan how lucky Spurs have gotten in the lottery throughout the years. Don't believe they have ever fallen in the lottery and two of the years they get the number 1 pick in are Tim Duncan and Victor Wembanyama... Not to mention them and Dallas both climbing up multiple spots in this last draft. Quote
