But I guess you never said those drives needed to turn into points. Can’t have defense on the field like our last 2 SEC road games Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 7 hours ago Moderators Posted 7 hours ago Georgia sacks vs. Texas last year in the two games ... 13 total Jalon Walker - 4 Mykel Williams - 4 Chazz Chambliss - 1 Damon Wilson - 2 Warren Brinson - 1 All gone. Georgia LB's are their key vs. Texas for a number of reasons. 2 Quote

AusMOJO Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Basically we need to pass all over them and take advantage of their lack of pressure and banged up secondary. Quote

Brennen Thompson caused some problems for us against Miss St. Pass rush needs to make it tough on Stockton to let those plays develop My main concern is the soft zone coverage will give up easy throws to Branch and allow him to work in space. With our pass rush we should be playing tighter coverage given the qb has limited time to get the ball off. It will allow for more defensed passes and more ints. Perhaps we give up a big play, or two, but allowing teams to have easy completions makes it too easy to keep the chains moving for the offense. 1 Quote
Bunk Moreland Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 10 hours ago, CJ Vogel said: Rod Babers and I just finished recording a look ahead to the game in Athens on the 15th that will air on Saturday. During my research for the video, I came across some numbers on the Georgia defense I never would have expected to see... *** – Georgia ranks 132nd out of 136 teams with 8.0 sacks this season. – Additionally, Georgia ranks 135th out of 136 teams with 29.0 tackles for loss. Of those 8.0 sacks, 3.0 come from LB CJ Allen, their starting middle linebacker. And another 3.0 come from LB Chris Cole who sees about 1/3 of his snaps off the edge. *** Now, Georgia still has a top 25 scoring defense, sitting at 19.6 points per game allowed. But there is a silver lining to Texas getting over the Kirby Smart hump and it begins with protection for Arch Manning. Hope is that the changes made to the Texas offensive line will travel to Athens. Yeah, but we said the same thing about the Kentucky and MSU defenses, both of which hammered Arch. Hopefully Sark and Flood figured some things out last week that will carry through against a Georgia D that clearly has problems creating havoc. 1 Quote
