Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 3 hours ago Moderators Posted 3 hours ago If one listens to Kirby’s post game PC, he mentioned “Texas kids” on Georgia team and said this in response to a question … “It’s what we build our core culture around, being the more physical team and you have to recruit physical players… I don’t know that, a lot of these kids want a check. They don’t want physicality. If you have the check and no physicality, you end with nothing. You’re not just getting checks at our place. We’re hitting people.” That is clearly aimed at two recruits in his mind, and future recruits in head-to-head battles 2 Quote

General Grant Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He’s our daddy so he can say what he wants. I can say he’s a classless a&&hole because that’s all i got. 2 Quote
drag worm Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He’s tired of us going in and money whipping his recruiting targets. So he sticks the knife in every time he beats us. It’s just all part of a mentality he coaches with that makes him so successful. Always finding an edge and maximizing talent instead of making excuses. 1 Quote
Joe Zura Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Daddy Kirby can say what he wants and I listen because he owns James Franklin 2.0 1 Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I mean I look at some of the players on our team and see what he’s talking about. The fact he can see it and sark can’t is alarming Quote
alrightalrightalright Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago "If you can stop the run, you make it really hard to play quarterback, when you can't, when you struggle to run the ball. That's what helps Gunnar, we have a really consistent commitment to the run and the run game." - Kirby Smart, defensive-minded coach with a better offensive approach to running the ball than we have. We cannot commit to a run game to save our life. 3 Quote
Waxahorn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's still an ass. The guy bitches and whines to the refs more than any coach I can remember. I think the refs are actually scared to flag his team. 2 Quote
TexasLonghorns Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The difference in mentality is glaring. Kirby builds on toughness, culture, and effort first, that’s why he has national titles. 1 Quote
BevoTenn25 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Who cares what shots anybody takes if we dont ever play with an edge. Kirby smart is just the most recent example of people commenting on the texas program in this manner. When is the texas program gonna move around daily like we want to hit the opposing team in the mouth. Program mentality needs some help. Texas is plenty talented enough. This isn't these coaches first rodeo either. All these guys have been around champions. When they decide too, texas will dominate any and everybody. Until then, we as fans must endure what we see. pinkman_90 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ehh pure recruiting pitch that if you watched the game you’d know he’s full of it. Physicality was at the bottom of the list of reasons we lost. Preparation discipline communication gameplan 100 other things physicality 1 Quote

The bigger point is some teams match up with others better during certain eras. Kirby can’t seem to beat Bama, okie seems to have Bama’s number, Oh St can’t beat Michigan. 1 Quote
