    There are agents and then there are friends of friends. But no offer as yet. The Florida collective told its folks yesterday Texas offered 1.5m. That’s patently untrue.

    I’ve said it multiple times. Texas is all in for 2026. Texas isn’t just trying to fill out its roster in the portal. An elite running back is a priority. That’s the current thinking at least. We’ll see how things go and who actually ends up in the portal. Lacy, of course, is from Lancaster originally.
