  1. I’ll repeat again. Texas had an offer out to Simeon. Today. Anyone saying otherwise is ill informed no matter how much they want to “act” otherwise.
  2. Simeon to Ohio State. And some wondered if he was good enough for Texas. SMH.
  3. Simeon is highly unlikely. Someone went higher than Texas.
  4. I’m fine with the bottom line approach. But Texas would very much be willing to go to five or even six at the position.
  5. Brooks is just a huge human.
  6. Texas still has an offer out to Simeon. Another team now has a higher one.
  7. My man, there is/was a spot for him. You can choose to believe folks who think they know or ones that actually do. No offense to those others but they’re dead wrong on this issue. Texas still wants Simeon, it’s just not gonna happen.
  8. He plays way too over his hips. Is a waist bender and doesn’t slide laterally well enough currently to play on the college level. That being said, I think he’s a talented prospect. But he’s more prospect than player at this point for any school recruiting him.
  9. I think Turntine is a no doubter left tackle. He’ll have to be beat out at that position before he would move, no matter where he signs.
  10. What we know at this point is that he moved up his commitment date following the South Carolina visit. At the same time, Texas is not recruiting another un-committed corner currently.
  11. Bishop had nothing to do with Lott’s decision other than Bishop’s pledge could have shrunk the NIL pool at the position.
  12. Stanford is a great academic school. Without question. However, to go somewhere where you don’t have an inkling who your head coach would be next year would be baffling given the amount of NFL money at stake, much less NIL money.
  13. We shall see July 12.
  14. Meh. There can be a kernel of truth to something without it being the only issue or even the primary one. For me, the bigger issue is the lack of success Texas has had at North Shore generally, especially when considering they've been fairly good to the school overall in return.
  15. Phillips was a state qualifier in the sprints and about 20 pounds lighter.
