Who cares about if they’re maxed out before nfl? They were drafted high and results in college were championships. I’ve said repeatedly that it’s not a s&C issue because you haven’t seen it on defense until the Florida game. Which further points to this change. And I’ve also said repeatedly that it’s specific to one side of the ball over the years being less physical. But to think that this philosophical change to practice has no effect is hilarious.

Cherry picking? I'm providing a list of the top 100 players according to PFF last year, that isn't cherry picking. That is providing detailed data that shows their rankings highly correlate to success and future NFL potential. Conversely for this year Connor Stroh is ranked in the bottom of PFF starting p4 linemen and that correlates to what we've seen on the field. So laugh at PFF if you want but it gives you a baseline of grades to see if the film matches what the grade is, sure it may not be perfect but most of the time the film definitely matches the grade.

Laugh at PFF all you want but just look at their top players from last year and you can see it's pretty much all elite NFL quality players https://www.pff.com/news/pff-college-101-the-top-101-players-from-the-2024-college-football-season

PFF Grades vs Ohio St 65.6, Neto Umeozulu 58.3, Connor Stroh vs SJSU 64.3, Neto Umeozulu 47.6, Connor Stroh Graded out higher and film matched. But you continue to be wrong, why am I shocked.

Yellow check down, red is right read Last year vs Georgia, two guys open - This is thrown to the receiver in middle of field vs Ohio St this year - The throw to wingo in double coverage vs Florida, everything deep is covered and it's obvious early, he should know to go to Moore Jr with the ball. he waits too long and steps up and gets hit and lets off a funky pass late. This curle is wide open split between two defenders, a ball to the chest of the receiver is a catch for a 1st down, instead this is a sack This was a sack as well even though there is a guy wide open if the ball comes out on time Here is that funky screen play that was called that was fit into a 3rd window which should have either been thrown immediately(potential second window) or to the checkdown out in the flat that was wide open with defenders 8-10 yards off and 2 receivers up top Like I've been telling you all that the plays are there to be made but Arch isn't seeing them under 20 years or check down routes. He's too focused on his deep concepts and plays. These are just a few screenshots from different games, there are tons more of the same stuff. Now I'm not asking him to be perfect but these are basic QB plays and reads. As you can see in a lot of these screen shots he has the time and that's a recurring theme amongst the plays not pictured that happen as well. Yes our OL is playing bad and not helping him but he is also not helping them either.

If you don't want negative stories about you then play better and be better. That goes for Arch, Sark, anyone else on the team, and the team as a whole. You all loved the press when they were hyping our players and their comments to them.

Adding to the Easy Offense Conversation from Monday
Hashtag replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
He played better in games than Stroh, Stroh practiced better. Staff valued practice over games and benched hiM because of that. My guess is Neto vented about being screwed over when game performance proved he should be starting but he’s not in this lame “circle of trust” -

Nah, Hutson needs to be at LG or bench. If we lose this weekend the whole line should be shifted to young. Baker isn’t that good either. Goosby - Hutson/Kibble - Robertson/Cruz - Campbell - Brooks/Baker It’s a shame that Flood but most likely Sark did Neto the way they did. So what he didn’t practice as well as Stroh because he damn sure played better in games than Stroh How do you go into a bye week knowing what you have on the line and make no changes in practice leading into Florida game? Just malpractice. -
A his team has great talented depth too, like what are you talking about? This philosophical change is similar to Mack deciding to completely change the offense after the 09 season. Literally broke what didn’t need fixing.
-
This site also said the offense looked great. I’d trust a guy that sees everything than just a 20 min view window. No disrespect to Bobby or OTF.

Fall practice was the same as spring in this relation. This is from someone who is inside the facility that sees more than just a media window:
-
Nick Saban and all his former players say their practices were harder and tougher physically than the games they played. you seriously think not hitting and not practicing as physical doesn’t affect you in games? S&C hasn’t been an issue until this year and it points more toward Sarks philosophical change to go not as physical or hard in practice than it does our S&C program somehow falling off a cliff.
-
And it could explain why we look less physical than we do. It seems his philosophical change and approach to practice may be the reason we look the way we do physically and most likely mentally. CFB ain’t the NFL brother you don’t have 17 games and make it as a wild card with a 10-7 record(this would be like 9-4 in college). Also the mentality and maturity of a CFB isn’t that of a pro player From a March interview: As a result, the Longhorns will have fewer contact periods and more teach periods with more controlled scrimmages instead of going for 140 plays. “Just a little bit of a shift philosophically, as I touched on even back in December, actually, when I first brought this up. The NFL model is such that I think that they teach really well, and it’s something as I’ve studied those guys and I’ve gotten around them here the past few years — you guys know I like to do that in the springtime is go see NFL teams — is making sure we’re teaching really well, making sure that we’re developing and growing as a program, and not just our young players, but really developing our older players to be really dialed into the details of what we’re trying to do. And so again, I feel like you have to in this day and age, be adaptable and not be afraid of change and I think this is an area where we can grow as a program to be better suited for the challenges of the schedule as we know what it was here last season,” Sarkisian said.

This is the positivity thread, if you want to DM me I’ll tell you why.
-
If he was that good he’d be coaching at not a QC.
-
Can you please bring positivity to this thread. Thanks.
-
Why would I hijack this thread? The team is doing great, sark seems like he has it figured out and arch manning has really turned the corner!
-
To be fair our nose was so high in the air coming into this season that we should have it shoved in the pile of crap we’ve laid.
-
No decision yet on who the new play caller and OL coach will be. We will be patiently waiting for white smoke!

The worst eval is having Hutson be beat out by Campbell after a year of starting as a freshmen and thinking that guy is starting center material after he’s been on campus for 4 years.
