    What’s the difference between scheduling FCS vs Texas State? Not really that much. Both are slightly more than running against air. A tune up cupcake is a tune up cupcake. In my opinion tune up cupcakes in week one are a good idea.

    He was had Texas in contention for a Big12 title in December in his final season in Austin, in the very last game. Tied at the half. That is not embarrassing. The embarrassing thing is how fans like you treated him, the ungratefulness, entitlement, etc. That is far more embarrassing. All of his players loved him, practically all of CFB loved him, champion of the sport, incredible ambassador. Why can’t you just stop slandering him? He is the second greatest coach in our program’s history. What other university treats an acclaimed coach and stand up guy that way? It’s ridiculous

    Baker Mayfield’s persona is just a detriment to himself. He has to always have a chip on his shoulder. Then when you are the top dog, the whole chip on your shoulder thing becomes a transparent act that’s difficult to convince others and yourself of. The best athletes and coaches like Jordan, Kobe, Brady, Mahomes, Saban- they’re just out there respecting their opponents but looking to beat the crap out of them, and also looking to continually outperform themselves and literally be the best. I do respect Mayfield (I actually have a love hate/respect relationship with the Sooners), but I think he’s immature. It’s annoying to us and a detriment to his ultimate success

    I’m calling it right now- that OU Michigan game is going to be a lot closer than people are anticipating. WMU team was really tough. Very well coached team. Bad team to play week one. Just look at what Wisconsin did to Notre Dame in the first half. Literally outplayed them. WMU is a better team than Wisconsin (if not on par). With the near loss and emotional win for Michigan, that gives them both a wake up call and a shot in the arm. Michigan’s defects were exposed. That’s good maybe for OU, but it’s also good and maybe better for Michigan. They’re gonna have a great week of practice. OU might very well beat Michigan, but it’s not going to be a dominant affair. I’m calling a single digit win, maybe even a loss with some heroics by Underwood. My gauge right now is that Michigan is a fringe Top25 team (8-4) and OU is a good not great team (9-10 wins). If OU does dominate, they’ll earn more respect in my eyes. But their performance so far and the eye test imo shows good not great

    Wouldn’t be so sure. Maybe. I think this is best possible outcome for Michigan. Basically took an L with all of the fire under the ass that brings, but got the W. I think they’re gonna have a hell of a week of practice and OU’s gonna come in over confident. WMU was tough as nails. OU wasn’t that from what I could tell. UTEP was moving the ball on them.

    I wouldn’t say no clue. If a team has absolute dudes on it, they can go against practical air and you can tell just by the way they look. This still isnt the championship level OU of back in the day. They could probably beat us, especially if they got up for it, but nothing intimidating imo

    LSU to the Big12? 🤦‍♂️ it is beyond me why you would do this for players that are not even that essential. Lane Kiffin is a straight up dbag and terrible for the sport. Literally terrible, selfish and incredibly destructive

    TAMU's odds of a national title are absolute zero. They possess no QB with the guts to carry them there, and their run game + defense isn't enough to carry them without gutsy/elite QB play. Texas Tech also does not have the requisite trenches on both sides of the ball to seriously compete with the top 10 teams of the SEC and Big10 once they're in the playoffs.

    OU scored 35 pts Roy’s Jr year and 65 his Sr year. I’d say Roy and the offense in general wasn’t the key issue those years.

    This is actual BS. He never had under 50 yds in a single loss from his Sophomore through Senior year. He wasn’t a QB, obviously. Any WR can be neutralized. A very good RB can also be neutralized by stacking the box. Hell, a good QB can be neutralized by dropping 8 into coverage. When that happens, the offense shifts to take advantage of the vulnerabilities made by the defense keying on The Dude. Roy Williams stats vs OU So through Sr (all losses) So: 5 for 65 Jr: 2 for 68 (OU scored 35) Sr: 7 for 89 (OU scored 65) There was little Roy could have done to keep up with OU his Jr and Sr years.

    True, Dicker is a great for sure. Doing us proud in the pros. He had that one epic game winner vs OU, but other than that one was fairly quiet. That was definitely a Top 20 play though for Texas in the 2000s so far. Mangum was like Dicker without the pro success
