  1. I wonder how much Wingo was pressing early in the year, which led to all the drops. It’s a lot of pressure as an underclassman to suddenly be asked to shoulder the load as a #1. With Coleman taking a lot of the heat off of Wingo, I wonder if he’s able to play looser.
  2. I’m grateful to PK. At his best, he has fielded some of the nastiest defenses in the country and among the best Texas has had this century. The advanced metrics suggest that the 2024 defense—especially against the pass—was historically good. I was not always a fan of his passive/conservative approach in situational football moments, but there is no doubt that he helped make Texas an attractive destination for elite defensive players once again.
  3. Given everything you know about Bobby and the way he conducts business—particularly given his zero tolerance for injecting politics into OTF content—do you actually think that the scenario you’ve laid out is likely? Either way, the respectful thing to do would have been to send him a DM instead of throwing a public fit and threatening to cancel your subscription because you got an ad you didn’t like. Not a great look, brother.
  4. I’m not saying he’s as good as Manny M, but that coverage grade suggests that he should be capable of replacing some of Manny’s best assets (sticky coverage). So, yes, I think he’s a very underrated pickup.
  5. No way. Listeater was a unit, but we never saw her in action. She can eat a list, but can she ragdoll dudes? I’m not convinced.
  6. So in other words, at least $32M in football NIL. Likely more given the last bullet. It’s been reported elsewhere that Texas will be somewhere between $35 and 40 million.
  7. You wanna put Chambliss and Stockton ahead of Arch? Cool, I’m okay with it. But Sellers??? He was garbage last year. Brown is talented but he was pretty mid against SEC-level competition. And Mateer???
  8. I didn’t know you appeared on Pawn Stars!
  9. Highest forced incompletion rate, SEC CBs: Kade Phillips, 22.7% (#4) Fewest yards allowed per coverage snap, SEC CBs: Warren Roberson, 0.32 (#1) Lowest passer rating when targeted, SEC CBs: Warren Roberson, 53.0 (#2) Lowest catch rate allowed, SEC CBs: Warren Roberson, 46.2% (#8) Highest-graded SEC CBs (PFSN): Graceson Littleton, 83.3 (#8)
  10. See my follow-up post. I was not implying that it was his fault or that he was anything other than a hard-working team player. I’m saying Texas fans have some ptsd with the RB position under Sark. But I can see how my phrasing could be interpreted as a criticism of Baxter.
  11. I understand that. Not saying Baxter failed or that there weren’t mitigating circumstances, but that doesn’t change the fact that I think we might be underrating Cooper and his potential impact this year. And for whatever reason, we haven’t seen Texas develop a true, game-changing, every-down back since Brooks.
  12. I don’t know if it’s possible for a 5-star to be underrated, but I think we might be undervaluing just how much of a freak Cooper is. I’ve thought all along that he might just take over that position by the end of the season, or at least take an increasing snap share every game. I think we’ve been burned a bit by Baxter not living up to his billing, which has made us collectively a bit gunshy on the RB room. But I think Cooper breaks that pattern.
  13. she always looks like she’s taking a giant sh*t on the court, which is apropos since she is best known for sh*tting all over her university’s morals, trust, dignity, …
