  1. Sure, below are some articles on the growing evidence. Now there is one caveat. These studies apply to regular, habitual users (daily), not to people who only smoked (or ate it) it occasionally, as most of us kids in the 70s did. Not only were our tokes infrequent due to strict laws and lack of supply, but it pot was 10x less potent than it is today. Also, in no way am I saying that pot is more harmful than alcohol because the medical experts that quantify all the harmful effects of mentally altering substances say alcohol has potentially more dangerous effects on the body if abused than does marijuana. I'm just saying some studies are now showing that marijuana is not without long-term risks, even for the casual daily user: cognitively, psychologically, and physically (pneumo). And the secondhand smoke is harmful to others, just as with cigarette smoke. 2. Cirrhosis is from extreme alcohol abuse over an extended period of time. Not short-term use, which was my point. Casual use of marijuana, not just abusive use, has been shown to have long-term effects on the brain and still-unknown psychological effects. Alcohol is metabolized in an hour. There is a difference.
  3. Only short-term. Marijuana has longer-lasting effects on the brain that alcohol doesn't have because it is metabolized so quickly. The narcotic chemicals in marijuana are fat-soluble, so they remain in your system and brain for a long time. Also, if someone drinks alcohol, then they are the only one affected. If you smoke or vape marijuana, then the people nearby are affected. It's highly intrusive, just like cigarette smoking, which I didn't think they allowed in the stands. I have no problem with marijuana if you are eating it. Just don't smoke it in the stands and blow it my way.
  4. To bad we can't pay them what they get in this signing bonuses. Is it against the rules to work out a deal with MLB teams that draft then to pay there signing bonuses as NIL donations and let Texas develop them as opposed to them languishing in the minors? 🤔😁
  5. If KU gets a stop here, I think the Aggy are toast.
  6. Aggy plays better when they play like Arky last year. Just go no huddle and let the QB run around and sling it and then run when nothing is there like Reed just did on that TD.
  7. This is what makes the SEC so tough. If you are not ready to play, and are not well coached, you can get beat by a middling team.
  8. When did those boos happen? Was it in the first half after one of this sideways passes or the 4th down end around that was blown up?
  9. Well, then him picking Tech is understandable. The, "not every kid wants to play at Texas" narrative doesn't apply. He didn't reject Texas for Tech.
  10. I was going to ask where our Cody Campbell is- who loves UT baseball? We need a sugar daddy, or daddies, to step in and say, "We will match your signing bonus," which is always the reason these kids sign with the pros to sacrifice in the minors. Then I looked up what the typical top-10 signing bonus was ($12-$8 million), and I dropped that thought. No wonder these kids never make it to campus. If they are smart with their money, they are set for life in one paycheck.
  11. Was that Tech WR in when he caught that pass or were his feet out by the time he secured it?
  12. Remember when Tech had QBs that scared you?
  13. 48-7 with a just under 30 seconds to go in the first half.and it looks like LC-Randall has a bunch of 2nd teamers in.
  14. LWC had his helmet off. His night might be done.
  15. TD #5 on a 4 yard Wildcat run. Around 235 total yards with about 3 minutes until half.
  16. LWC scored TD #5 but there was a penalty to wipe the TD out, and then Randall's WR fumbles. Stuck at about 225 yards and 4TDs in the first half.
  17. LOL! LC-Randall just faked to LWC and the entire defense went with him and the QB ran it in on a 17-yard keeper for a TD and not a soul touched him.
